I really do believe so.... I Think Arum was saying how the hell we going to pull such a World wide event in such a short period of time... Think about the whole World wants to see this... This the type of event where you need to have a World tour.... They only had 2 press tour scheduled for this event? That is not enough... This type of event you have to do a press tour in Cali, Nevada, Texas, New York, Europe...

And, Also Freddie Roach said he need it more time to prepare for Floyd if you remember. He said he need it like 10-12 weeks instead of the usual 8 weeks...

So I think they threw out the 8mil hoping the Floyd blink first it didn't happen... Then when Floyd threw out drug testing they were cool with it... But, then I think they realized it was just too soon. So then they changed there mind and said no we want a cutoff date... But, I just think they miscalculated on how bad Pac would look... I think Schafer also didn't want the fight to happen so early... I think that is why they went to the media first to get Arum to lose his nerve. And, they succeeded... And, that is how everything just blew up.

This people are smart businessman, they going to do whatever it takes to get more money... They don't give a fuck what us fans believe... All they care about is there pocket. And, now look at all the hype they got with all this. So if Floyd and Pac win later this year easy 3mil PPV buys. Easily...

But, what did surprise me with all this is how they are ******** right... Both, Pac and Floyd are not in easy fights...

Wow, you just admitted that Pac and his team tried everything to got out of the fight. You're probably the only unbiased Pac fan on here. I agree with everything except for the bolded part, if you remembered, Arum said he didn't planned on doing any business with Floyd way before they started to negotiates. Arum got angry on his own because the more he'd lies from the beginning, the more angry he'd became when he assumed people didn't believed anything he says. Team Floyd had nothing to do with it, they wanted random testing since the beginning of negotiation.

Suing somebody is NOT how you clear your name.. Taking the tests is the only way that you can do that without leaving some sort of doubt.

Not sure how this would happen later in 2010. Floyd will still demand a 14 day cut-off and if Pac accepts it will be an admission that they are the ones who killed the fight in March (which they clearly did).

Also if floyd and shane get it on in May their numbers will likely kill Clottey v Pac PPV's and Floyd will be asking for 55 or even 60% in the next round of negotiations on that basis. I doubt Manny will agree to a split that is not neutral or in his favour.......both of these guys love $$$$$$.

Yea i'm definitely starting to think pac and floyd thought it would be better to bring up the fight get the hype going early and really be planning all along that it would be later in the year. if pac gets by clottey and floyd fights and gets by mosley, a fight at the end of the year would be huge. I always thought mar 13 was a little early to promote a fight of that magnitude. Risky though cause there both in for very tough fights.
