Big fan of SSM...i say this will be competitive. He has more of a cahnce at 147 than @ 135. I feel if they fought at 135, floyd is just too fast with his feet and hands at that weight. At 147 this will be a good fight. I still think Floyd will win a decision.

pugay_kamay, you are a dumb ass punk for Manny Pacnuts. Cotto was knocked out bad by Margarito whether he cheated or not!!! Cotto's next fight was against a nobody in Jennings and then he won a controversial fight against Clottey. Manny didn't beat the undefeated Cotto. He beat a man full of doubts against himself!!
As for him fighting Clottey, he is now fighting against the man that lost to Cotto who he already beat. Manny don't want any of Floyd Money Mayweather; because he struggled with Marquez!
Marquez in my opinion is a great fighter, but no where near a Floyd Mayweather. Wake up and stop sucking on Manny and see what's really going on even if he is from your country.
Think with your mind and not your heart and you will be a better judge of boxers.

This would have been an unbelievable fight at 135 due to what a physical specimen Mosley was and what a complete fighter Mayweather was, but that was never going to happen. Mosley never even fought at 140, he had too much trouble making 135 which is why a fight with Mayweather never happened. Shane went right from lightweight to welterweight with ease.

Brilliant move by Arum, Roach and Pacquiao

Honestly I don't even think Floyd wants Mosley but he's kind of trapped right now. Mosley just had this withdraw issue at a time where Floyd has no partner. So you have a WW looking for an opponent, well, there's a freed up WW right now. Makes sense?! Well although Floyd doesn't prefer fighting guys in his division, too much talk is against him on ducking opponents right now so I think he will go through with it. If this would have happened about 2 weeks earlier, I bet Mosley would be fighting Pac in March instead.
I concur. They came at Floyd from all angles, and every where he looks there is a good WW salivating for the chance to fight. Brilliant move by Arum, Roach and Pacquiao, but I think Roach should have challenged Floyd first instead of Dela Hoya. Pacman was still just a regular guy to most people and they had no idea how good his skills were until now. Before they learned about his true talent I'm sure Floyd would have perceived him as another small guy he could beat-up on. Damn, I wish Roach would have taken him first.

Good points of view for both Atlas and Stewart, but all this is only good IF PBF does finally accept the fight.

This is a great opportunity for Floyd to shut up a lot of people about cherry picking lower risk fighters.

If he does not accept the fight, he will only be giving more reasons for his critics to continue calling him a chicken.

Personally I like to see great fighters face each other, and even though I consider PBF to be a great fighter, in my view he has not face a great opponent, well at least not at his prime, and even though SSM is not at his prime, it will be the closest PBF can get to face a great fighter, now that the Pacman fight is off.

Irony, that the man that PBF himself said is not a draw (SSM), is currently PBF's biggest payday besides Pacman. As a matter of fact, a fight with SSM at this moment could define PBF's whole career.
