Comments Thread For: Mayweather-Mosley: Atlas, Steward Break it Down

The news hit everyone like a ton of bricks. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer disclosed on Monday that he is aggressively trying to finalize a deal for one of the biggest fights in the last few years, Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Shane Mosley. If the deal gets done, the fight will likely take place on a May date in Las Vegas. To get some expert analysis on the fight, BoxingScene.com sat down with two of the better known trainers in the sport, Emanuel Steward and Teddy Atlas. [Click Here To Read More]

Mosley is always in good shape, so I agree with Steward. Inactivity isn't gonna play much of a role.

I've always said that Shane Mosley is a much more dangerous fight for Floyd than Pacquiao. Shane is so hungry to once again be considered the best P4P fighter in the world! The speed, skill, athleticism, and warrior's heart than Mosley possesses wil surely take the full measure of what Floyd has to dig deep to win this.

I have to see the contracts signed before analyzing a fight of this magnitude. Still eating the sour g****s from the Mayweather vs Pac debacle.

if contracts are signed, i predict mayweather to win by shutout. Man everyone is just hyping mosley up cuz of margarito. the margarito who was mentally not in the fight and plasters off. mosley is the same guy who got his a** outboxed by cotto and also had a hard time dealing with a washed up mayorga; people seemed to have forgotten that. but still, its a dangerous fight for mayweather cuz mosley is a hard puncher. speed wise, he is fast, but not that fast for me.

                  food for thought.

in the last 2 years Mosley has fought 44 rounds.

in the last 2 years floyd has fought 12
