As for all this nonsense about Khan leaving Britain because of racism, do me a favour.

In Newcastle he was cheered to the rafters, while any boos he has received during the course of his career have been from fans of rival boxers. - Frank Warren

Yes there were many millions of Europeans caught into slavery throughout history. And their were many BLACK SLAVERS running this trade. For many centuries the Arabs and Africans were the biggest slave runners (enslaving millions of Europeans - men for labour and woman for sex). In fact the Europeans only began to compete with them (in terms of massive numbers) when the slave trade into the Americas began.

And where did the word "slave" come from? Research it.

And if you're one of those that consider Egyptian pharaohs like Ramses II to be "black" what about his wars and subsequent enslavement of "white" peoples such as the Hittites?

The history of our species is full of war, enslavement and atrocities. You are responsible for your action, not anyone elses and certainly not someone who lived before you were born.

Either everyone is guilty, because of the actions of earlier generations, or no one is guilty for the actions of people who lived decades, centuries, millennia ago.

this is ridiculous the amount of people on here who dont have a clue about the UK and talk as if they know it all, im from the south west of england a predominantly white area and i cant remember the last time a racial attack/crime was reported in the local newspapers, on a national scale there is racism but nothing to go nuts about, as you venture towards cities the places become more diverse and people of all ethnicities get along for the most part, i would say there is some segregation between races but not so much with younger generations particularly students. nigel benn is one of the most popular fighters to come from england, everyone likes him regardless of his skin colour and prince naseem was loved by millions of people all over england for the early stages of his career.

maybe they don't like ******s, because ******s dont like them? and they have violent rally's at what was supposed to be homecoming parades for fallen soldiers in the war on terror.
i saw a study showing that only 4% or some rediculously low number (under 10%) of ******s in the UK would fight for britain in the war on terror but 89% would fight for the radical ******s

This is completely untrue. The most popular British boxer of recent times is Ricky Hatton, we all know that. Previously the most popular boxers have been Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank and of course Frank Bruno.

Khan is extremely popular in Britain, not as popular as Hatton but Hatton had the everyman appeal of being just like the vast majority of brits (likes a drink, likes a pie, **** at boxing lorlz), but Khan is more popular than Prince Nas ever was (because he wasn't very likeable - too arrogant).

Projecting the recism of your own country onto other peoples' is grossly unrealistic.

He should never accuse the British public of racism, all the fans wanted was to see him fighting decent opposition.People shouldnt link him being Pakistani with the attitude he gets from some fans,he was well loved in the UK in general. He's a star already.Just in case he cant handle some criticism, look at audley Harrison.People didnt like him not because he was black,he just wasnt fighting real fights. The British public are ready to back any warrior regardless of where he comes from.Brits back foreigners who live in their neighbourhoods so lets get racism out of this.
If Khan fights in the UK he will sell the arena.Reebok endorsed him because his brand had value. They had researched and found he was well liked.

I have had the oppportunity to live both in california (bay area), as a kid, and in england (surrey) from age 16 to now, I believe I have a pretty good perspective on this, better than most on here if not everyone.

My thoughts are that in the UK there is much more of an underlying racist attitude then california, or the west side of the US. I specify this area because you can't compare country to country because of the size difference and there are some seriously racist states in the US. The thing that the UK have got better at is the fact that it is not as "in your face" as it was 20 years ago, but trust me the general attitude is still there. Its embeded in the thinking, it is much better than other European countries, but that doesn't say that much.

In the US, in particular where I grew up it is so much more diverse in terms of how many different races are there, that racism is almost a non-issue. It is much more normal to see a non-caucasion person in a managerial role or a top end job, again I have to stress this is the western states. The demographics in England are much more simple, which in my opinion causes a "us and them" attitude all over the country.

Saying all of this I can completely see why khan would want to live in LA, anyone who believes that racism didn't play some part in his decision has got there head in the ****ing clouds, but taking that and boxing out of the equation, there is a better quality of life there, especially for a wealthy person like him, the main draw back for living in the US is the medical which would not be an issue for him or his family.

Racism did not chase Khan out of the country. Of course he will have experienced it - racism exists in every country, but to say that the majority of people in Britain are racist is just wrong.

The fact is Khan is a dull personality, he has done ****** things in his personal life that have made the press, he's fought bums, got KO'd by an average fighter and defeated an old well past it Barrera by head clash but claimed it was such a great win.

Britain is not racist as a whole and there are many factors in play as to why Khan isn't too popular here.

Oh and also, Khan is still more popular than Froch. I guess Froch should cry racism too.
