Has Racism Chased Amir Khan Out Of Britain?

My point is that his family migrated there. Why did they do that? If the UK is so bad, why didn't they stay at home? Why doesn't Amir go back to his parents homeland? Why? I mean it must be better than the UK right? After all only white people are evil and cruel and racist right?
PS Better not tell that poor kid in Africa that I feed thru World Vision that I am racist, it might upset him. Feeding any starving blonde Russian kids are you? Nah, more likely you are looking at poor desperate Russian chicks in **** on the net.

Bananas! I've been reading this thread and I find it entertaining. I don't know if they're is a lot or not very much racism in UK but I will go there someday and find out for myself.
It's funny how we're getting all kinds of replies on here.
There's racism here in America too and this country is filled with people from all over the world.
Anyway, perhaps it was money the true reason why he wants to come here.Comment

There were arab slaving ports in Italy (50 miles south of Rome) and Southern France (St. Tropez) 1000 years ago.
And where did the word "slave" come from? Research it.
And if you're one of those that consider Egyptian pharaohs like Ramses II to be "black" what about his wars and subsequent enslavement of "white" peoples such as the Hittites?
The history of our species is full of war, enslavement and atrocities. You are responsible for your action, not anyone elses and certainly not someone who lived before you were born.
Either everyone is guilty, because of the actions of earlier generations, or no one is guilty for the actions of people who lived decades, centuries, millennia ago.Comment

You will alwaysfind people delighting in a fighter like Khan with the exposure he's received, being dumped unceremoniously on his ass.
it's human nature.
Having attended Khans last fight against Salita, there were certainly no signs of racist taunts or booing against Khan quite the opposite.
Indeed the only racist remarks i heard all night were made from a group of asian men to a white spectator.
Racism knows no colour and is not purely a white disease!!Comment

sometimes when a person isnt liked they use their skin color as a reason...not realizing that maybe it is just them...maybe he turns people off and if he were a different color he'd still be a turn off...as for Amir...I mean, Naseem Hamed did very well for himself in England and he is much better, ****ier, etc etc etc...I think Amir put his foot in his mouth on this one...Comment

I live in the UK.sometimes when a person isnt liked they use their skin color as a reason...not realizing that maybe it is just them...maybe he turns people off and if he were a different color he'd still be a turn off...as for Amir...I mean, Naseem Hamed did very well for himself in England and he is much better, ****ier, etc etc etc...I think Amir put his foot in his mouth on this one...
Hamed was a huge success in the 90's.
Things are different now.
There is a huge divide in certain areas where Kahn lives between Asians and whites. Plus he is a ****** and since 911 they obviously havent been too popular.
I believe if Hamed was around now he would also encounter much racism and be less popular. But Hamed was a great entertainer. A very different type of fighter and personality.
Also, i was shocked that Khan was booed at the Hatton-Pac weigh-in.
He is a young exciting British fighter, yet all the british fans booed him. He was also booed at his big fight against Barrera.
That must make him feel like ****.
Its totally unjustified
Many british people here are just oblivious to the racism that exists in certain areas of britain. Khan and his family have experienced it and he is right to move..Last edited by The Noose; 01-21-2010, 02:05 PM.Comment
