Why Can't Mayweather Fight Cotto?

Cotto is a broken and damaged fighter at this point. No point in fighting him.

couple of reasons :

mayweathers plan :

1. olympic style drug test.

2. oral defamation if cotto says no

3. acuse him of roids if he refuses

4. defends himself by letting people know that cottos refusal was why the fight didn't happen.

5. pretend to be waiting for some other good fighter

6. fight someone else whos easilly beatable when a threath is evident

7. claim victory, and tell himself that hes great

I mean, I wouldn't mind seeing it. It's a good matchup in terms of styles and Pacquiao is fighting the guy Cotto beat...Clottey is a C level fighter I mean that's a guy who wasn't even good enough to be Paulie Malignaggi's sparring partner. It would do good in PPV's more than 1 million for sure. And, Cotto can say that he lost to 2 fighters with questionable circumstances.

Arum is hesitant to put Manny in the ring with Floyd, why would he put Cotto in there. And Cotto need sum wins under his belt.

Cotto dont need to be getting in the ring with the best fighter in the world straight after takeing a hellashish beating and getting stopped by the worlds Second best fighter. He's just a man for ****s sake.

I didn't say that, but I think Cotto needs to get his legs back under him before he goes against someone of Mayweather's caliber. He took worlds of punishment against Margarito and Pacquiao.

I agree with this post,Cotto needs a tune up fight,I think he could be a dangerous opponent for Floyd but he needs a break
