    Xylocaine is for numbing pain!

    Alot of idiots in here got **** all twisted! This is for you "so callled" Boxingscene experts:

    Xylocaine is used by numerous boxers if they have a history of broken hands. It numbs your hands so you won't feel the pain, the down side of it is that your hand may be broken during a fight and you may not even realize it because you can't feel ****.

    After Ortiz was stopped by Maidana he was wearing a cast because he broke his hand and didnt even know it because he had injected this ****. Juan Diaz, DLH, Trinidad, Cotto,Floyd, Jones, MAlignaggi, and even Steve Forbes are a few boxers I know that have done it.

    And none have ever failed a drug test because it ain't a steroid. It's a pain killer.

    It's just the fact that it's a banned injection that makes it look bad, though there really is no benefit from it other than not feeling the pain of a broken hand.

        Yeah but they are acting like Floyd is taking roids or something, he wouln't agree to a drug test if he were taking some type of steroid.

          It still a disadvantage for the other opponent if the user cannot feel pain and the fact that it is illegal in most states.

              Upon further research:

              "C. LOCAL ANAESTHETICS

              • Injectable local anaesthetics are permitted under the following conditions:
              • a. bupivacaine, lidocaine, mepivacaine, procaine, and related substances, can be used but not *******. Vasoconstrictor agents may be used in conjunction with local anesthetics
              • b- only local or intra- articular injections may be administered;
              • c. only when medically justified .W here the rules of the governing body so provide, notification of administration may be necessary."

              So doesn't floyd inform them why he is using it?

              So my question for the *******s, isn't breaking your hands a medical condition?

              Even if its legal in Nevada, CAN someone provide a legit link that its banned in the other 49 states, (no wikipedia or forum/bull**** links, only legit ones)

                wrong, floyd is taking "something", and that something is illegal in 49 states. if its not illegal he would have agreed for a fight in dallas.

                    Fighters don't gain an advantage by taking the pain killer. The pain killer is a disadvantage in the ring if you cannot feel any pain. Floyd can do some serious damage to his hands without knowing he's doing damage because he cannot feel anything.

                    The pain killer does not make you faster, stronger, give you more stamina later in the fight, etc.
