After the gatti fight, he didn't do too bad compared to most standards!

after the Gatti fight, he beat Baldomir and DLH for those titles, cort...the same DLH who was inactive for a year

and are you really trumpeting the JMM win? really?

just take a step back and look at your argument for second...why do you feel that you have to convince the masses about floyd's legacy...shouldn't a fighter's body of work do that on its own?

i'm not trying to persuade anybody of anything. i'm making a statement! baldomir earned that lineal title, he was that guy and Floyd did the right thing by fighting him. DLH was a champion, he beat the guy who was 1 of the champions. matter of fact, that same guy was the undisputed champion of 147 as well. he beat the guy who beat the guy to become that champion. The guys Floyd fought and defeated earned their shot and ranking in the ring my dude!

as far as the JMM win, i don't hold that in as high regard as some of his other fights, depsite that he still was the #2 guy. and floyd still beat him quite impressively after a 2 yr layoff. another fact, JMM has never lost decisively before that fight so there is an argument to be made whether affirmative or negative.

manny has to agree to get in the ring to see who is that fighter of this decade. Because i damn sho ain't crowning him and only recently has been impressed by him.

and truth be told, u shouldn't crown him either until he fights the fighter who has been dominated all of thos decade and then some!
You *****s seem to be forgetting Manny's past acheivements. You only seem to be seeing his recent wins? Barrera, Morales, Marquez and his pre fights before those too anyone?

A fighter who has dominated for a decade, won 8 titles in 5 different weight classes, beat 13 champions in those weight classes, and considered 1 of and top pound 4 pound fighter of this decade every single year need not cement anything. His legacy is sealed and his HOF creds are already waiting on him at Canasota, NY.

He and Manny as well only need to clear up 1 thing (well…manny does have a Steroid issue to clear) and that is to determine who is the best fighter of this decade!

Floyd is ready and willing…..when will Manny??????
              Willing to fight nate @ 154 ?

i haven't forgot, matter of fact, I think he had those same wins before floyd retired and he was still #2!

matter of fact, previous floyd opponent's is what made him into what he is today!

Matter of fact, he has 2 close fights with JMM in which 1 he actually lost in IMO. IMO, barrera was over the hill in the last fight and morales beat him once past his best and lost 1 just past his best, and lost another way past his best!

                  We haven't forgot!

he's destroying it bit by bit tho, by not fighting the best while still at his prime. Like it or not if continues to cherrypick his accomplishments at the lower weights will be overshadowed by all the ducking at WW trust me.
