The articles i've read make it sound like Vanes dominated until round six.
Guess you didn't read the very article that began this thread

If anything, Vanes turned things around after the sixth round - from 7-10, the only round I had him losing was the KD round, a round he would've otherwise won.

No I didn't I was reading fight news.
It was Martirosyan’s best performance to date as he sharply landed flush shots against the ever advancing Ouma in every round. Ouma scored a flash knockdown in round nine, and picked up the pace after round six, but it was too little too late. Martirosyan prevailed by scores of 97-92, 97-93, 97-93 to retain his NABF/NABO belts. The bout headlined the debut telecast of the new

Definetly too wide of score, I had Ouma Winning 95-94. But There was like 1 or 3 swing rounds, so i could see Vanes winning but not by those wide margins

Ouma got robbed, and Vanes was exposed. You knew this was going to happen though since Ouma was brought in as an opponent. It's pretty typical though.

How the hell do you expect to be a future contender when you get knocked down by frigging Ouma? Ha. Are you kidding me? This kid has got a Khan chin.

Scoring a KD does not automatically give a fighter a 10-8 round. He has to win the rest of the round. It was a close round, but other than the KD, I felt like Vanes did better. So I scored that round 10-9 for Ouma, and scored the fight a draw. Good, close fight, regardless of the wide scores.

It's a great learning experience for Vanes. We have to give him some credit. He was fighting an aggressive, granite-chinned southpaw, and he got busted up with some headbutts. Hopefully Vanes will make some improvements, and hopefully Ouma will get another good fight from this, because he's earned it. And man does Ouma have a great chin! That last left hook that Vanes landed would've dropped just about any other fighter in the division, including Martinez and Williams. Not that Vanes could beat those guys, of course, but he would've hurt them with that shot, if he could land it.

Pretty surprised by this. Ouma seemed done to me a couple years ago. It's also not good when his punches are turning your head the whole fight. He's got average power.

you realize ouma was 1-5 heading into this fight right? vanes was shown to be very average against an over the hill, declined fighter. stop nuthugging. vanes will be crushed by martinez, or williams.
