    DLT,

I'm not convinced Koncz actually took the "14 days" up with Manny.
Manny says "huwag naman sa araw ng laban" (literally 'just not on
the day of the fight itself' --which really means a 2-day cutoff) on
video, TWICE in the last week of December.

Then, after Arum's first tantrum, Pac's put into ziploc, no more
interviews (even to this day!); and lo and behold, Pac's website
has a surprisingly articulate statement, in English, allegedly from
Manny, that he's always been firm on 30 days, just like Blob (!!!!)
This is not ten days after Pac's verbal-on-video request for at
    least a 48-hour cutoff.

All we've heard since then is Blob's and Koncz' version(s) of what
    happened or will hapen.

I think Schaefer's right: no one told Manny about a 14-day offer.
Not until the arbitration had failed, if at all. By then, Arum was
determined not to make the fight happen, and had moved onto
    the Clottey/Dallas angle.

      How early? Show a link.

Then when everything was about done, Team Pac & Arum went bat**** crazy running to the press, like it was something new, this was also around the same time that they asked for that $10 million penalty, possibly thinking Floyd would say no, and they could use that as another reason to say no to the fight.
The OP of this thread is relating it as if the last days of the negotiation was going smoothly and amicably. It was not. Arum was seething in anger at the folks sitting in the opposite side of the table; Pacquiao has just filed a lawsuit and was obviously pissed at the Mayweather camp for smearing his name. (The OP doesn't seem to understand this as if the situation is normal.) I am a Pacman fan because I like his style of boxing. I would have hoped that he accepted the opponent's demand just to end all these senseless debates.

But if I were in his shoes at that point I would have none of the Mayweathers and his allies and all I could think of is have them punished in one way or the other. I wouldn't even listen if they offered a 1 month cut off. I'm mad and let them go to hell.

its not strange Basically Pacman is just asking for the right thing. If Mayweather had a problem with the current testing procedures of the sport, then he should have went to the Nevada Athletic Commission and ask for a random test and explain. Nevada Athletic Commission should decide and not floyd.

I can understand him saying no.

          Floyd insulted him.

Pac told him to **** off.

If he took the tests and they were clean, but Floyd beat him with ease, people would question his previous amazing wins over Cotto and Hatton.

Taking the tests wouldnt clear his name.

If he lost to Floyd, he would be branded a cheat AND a loser!

According to Roach and quote back in early December 3rd " They want us to take some kind of test, We dont mind we would take any test whatsoever and pass with flying colours"......That was back in Early December when Freddie Roach came over to England for the Khan/Salita fight.

And According to Dan raphael two weeks ago he also maintained that the test was the ONLY demand that Team Mayweather make and that was insist on from the get go, He was basically saying the test wasnt just drummed up in the middle of the negotiation it was from the beginning.

As Dan have said. no single fighter is bigger than the sport. So Floyd shouldnt really change the procedure that has worked for years. Moreso
this is a fighter who hid for two years and then come back to fight a smaller opponent.

and its not about money, where most of us dont understand. Pac is sitting well in Philippines, several successful businesses.

btw, is it stranged to you that Flyod ask Pac for Olympic style drug testing and had not ask not a single fighter from all his previous fights?
Flyod knows damn well Pac would refuse such testing, even if Pac accepted it, Flyod would come up with another excuses to not make the fight happened.

Flyod is a Duck and will always be.
Manny is a Roman Catholic and superstition is a no no.

He knows that so which one is it ?

So which came first the smear campaign or the request? It almost seemed like it's planned on the part of the FM camp -- Floyd Sr., Schaefer, DLH, Roger... Why would you do that if you are really serious in the fight happening especially when you don't have any evidence to back it up? The fact that Roach is certain that Manny will "pass with flying colors" just meant to me that they're really not hiding anything. This is the American side of Manny's camp where steroid use is rampant. The unlikeliness of it is practically nil in the Philippine side. Absolutely nothing you can find there. (Just visit the Philippines someday and see for yourself. You'll find some of the most advanced and biggest shopping malls. And they have white beaches there, too. LOL.) Basically, this talk about Manny taking roids is just that, crap.

To defend his honor or is that not a good enough reason for him!!! Pac made 95% of the demands for this fight yet people are still trying to say floyd was making to many demands now thats funny!!!
