I too was expecting the fight to be officially set for a later date in the year due to Manny's political commitments.

But Team Pacquiao proposed the March date even when Freddie is on the record stating that March would have been too soon for Manny.

    Go figure.

You people have lost your minds. Pacquiao never wanted a fight?

Who was it that came back & announced a fight with a 36 year old career featherweight THE DAY OF PACQUIAO VS HATTON?

Who is the one asking for a EXTRA TEST he has never asked before his whole career? Who is asking for olympic style testing that has never been done before in the history of professional prize fighting?

Who has the reputation of fighting smaller fighters?

Who has the reputation of ducking?

Who has the reputation of taking easy fights?

    Pac is scared?

    LMFAOOOOO!!!!

Besides, after the fight the main thing that people talked about in Pac's defense was that he has to use 10oz gloves and thats why he lost. We also know at that point Pac wasnt nearly as complete as he is now so he was going to lose.

Floyd never asked anyone else for the testing but he never believed anyone else was doping. Its really that simple and its not new. Senior has been saying it for awhile now so why are people trying to act like its new.

The last thing you said about Floyd never really wanting it is what I really want to talk about. If anyone kept up with the negotiations, they know that Team Mayweather made it clear from the very jump, even before things started that they wanted this testing and all of Team Pacquaio that it was no problem and they would pass it so easily. Roach made a million interviews about it and there is no way that Arum wouldve takened that contract to Pac if he didnt believe that it was no problem. So keep in mind that from the very begining they said it was ok. That means if Team Mayweather really didnt want the fight then they wouldve been scrambling like, "oh ****, they agreed to it so now we have to find another excuse to make up". All Floyd then has to do is price himself out but almost immediatly Floyd agreed to 50/50. All Floyd now has to do is change the glove size but immediatly he gives in to the 8oz. All Floyd has to do is demand that the fight is at 154 but he immediatly agrees to WW. Then team Pac comes with a crazy penalty of 10mil dollars which is sure to end the fight because Floyd knows he doesnt really want it but Floyd immediatly says ok.

Everything is done & finished and out the blue here comes the Pac side going crazy over the testing. Team Floyd is like, "what are you talking about? From the jump you knew we wanted it and you said it was ok. That wasnt even a factor anymore. All we had to negotiate is the other stuff and it went smooth & fast so why are you going insane now and try to spin it like we are the problem, we didnt make it clear from the jump, and you didnt agree"? Seriously, if Floyd didnt want it he couldve done a million other things to get out the fight. Team Pacquiao agreed to all of this before anything even started. Everyone thought Floyd would be a pain with the money but he basically agreed to anything that they wanted and was fair. Then out the blue Arum starts going nuts and spins **** and all the media takes there side because Pac is the GOD and everyone hates Floyd so it has to be his fault

Great post, man. I don't know how to give you Green K.

Here are the hints that team Manny Pacquiao had little interest of wanting the fight to happened this soon.

The Mayweather fight is the fight the world wants to see,” Roach said. “It’s going to be the biggest pay-per-view fight of all time. But I think we will fight one fight before that.”

Roach said that Pacquiao’s schedule will be constructed around his political ambitions and the elections in the Philippines on May 10. “But there is a March date for him to fight,” Roach said. “People think I am crazy but I want him to win his eighth title against Yuri Foreman at 154lb. That’s my idea — then fight Mayweather in September. And then retire.”

The way Roach sees it, there will be no further blemishes on Pacquiao’s record by the time he greets retirement, although he does concede that Mayweather will be “the hardest fight of his life”.

“Mayweather’s a very difficult fight for Manny,” he said. “It won’t be physically the hardest, but it will be the hardest fight of his life style-wise. Mayweather is talented and he’s good at defence. I have a very good game plan for him, but I’m sure a lot of other guys thought that along the way.

“We’ll have a ten-week training camp. We have to work on a lot of new moves, we have to improve in certain areas to win that fight.” And would he expect his man to win? “Oh yes. Without a doubt.”

Fact: he said that he felt weaken after blood test and said he was not hiting as hard was the main reason he lost the fight is enough, you saying other wise are wrong. Are you saying you know how his body works better then Manny himself?

Give it up, man. He had more blood drawn out of him when he fought Hatton, what happened in that fight?

^ This is not talked about enough, the testing was something brought up early in negotiations. Then when everything was about done, Team Pac & Arum went bat**** crazy running to the press, like it was something new, this was also around the same time that they asked for that $10 million penalty, possibly thinking Floyd would say no, and they could use that as another reason to say no to the fight.

I think it looks su****ious yes but there could be reasons beyond guilt. I think that he is clean personally. I feel that it is more about not letting Floyd have any leverage at all for the purpose of making it clear that he is the "man" now, not Floyd.

You keep hearing the guys on ESPN saying that it may be hard for the "common man" to understand how someone could turn down 40 mil over some tests. I understand their perspective because the common guy has no idea about 40 million dollars and will never, ever see that much money in their lifetime. Manny though, likely has 200 million in the bank, if not more so missing out on 40 mil is not really hurting him. I know that sounds crazy but for a guy that has so much money, things at this point, aren't even about the money.

I think they knew that these allegations would be detrimental to his image and had planned to sue a while ago. Floyd needs the money more than Manny does and by walking away from this fight, it shows that Manny has immediate options while Floyd is still looking for options that make sense to him. Almost any fight with Pac is gonna be big now while Floyd needs big names to make fights worthwhile. In the end, I think this whole scenario was a big pissing contest between the two that resulted in a guy getting his image tarnished and another guy getting sued.

Maybe not but I feel this is one legitimate way to look at it.

                      Care to talk?

I'm just wondering why, if this is supposedly such an easy fight,

                      additional requirements are necessary?

Don't say its about being fair, or wanting a level playing field,

                      focus on what Floyd said.
