WBC President José Sulaimán, WBC Executive Secretary Mauricio Sulaimán,

Why do boxers pay money to take care of some Mexican guy and his family? How did some mexican family get a sanctioning body under their control?

Im not in favour of a Super Heavy weight division at all. We have enough as it is and look what David Haye just proved - if ur good enough and have the talent u can beat the biggest lumps out there.

The Davids usually beat the Goliaths.

Wouldn't a Super Heavy class be the most boring division of all time?

well considering that it doesnt exist (yet), no he didnt. There's a SHW division in MMA and no doubt Esch fights in that division over there if he cant make 265.

I DO think they should make a 201-240 division however

Several years ago I felt almost the same way about José Sulaimán, BUT since then I changed my mine. He has given out a lot of money to down and out boxers that nobody ever hears about, such as Emile Griffith. I was also the Ring Announcer at a show in North Bergen New Jersey where they asked me to eulogize Ronny Vargas. Here's what was reported on BoxRec: Vargas fought his last bout on July 31, 2008, in the same venue and ring. Ring announcer Henry Hascup read a couple of letters, first from John Lynch of Pound for Pound Promotions and then another one from the President of the WBC Jose Sulaiman and then Hascup presented a medal donated by Sulaiman to Ronny Vargas's father. Hascup then asked for a standing 9 count in celebration of Vargas's life......The packed house all stood and clapped for several minutes, there wasn't a dry eye in the place. Vargas's father was over come with emotion. When Arturo Gatti passed away Jose Sulaiman presented Gatti's mother with a World Championship Belt.

201 to 235,....that way guy's in the 240 to 260 pound range would have to cut weight and come in shape to fight for the "HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD".

Holy ****, another paper belt for overweight Heavyweights and giant freaks. That means Valuev and Mercer will be able to fight each other for a title. Awesome.

Then again, José Sulaimán wants to ban father/son trainer/fighter combination, swearing (he banned Arreola 60-days for his f-bombs...but why not Diaz?!?), amongst other wacky ****. Fuuck him!
it seems like a simple thing, but banning of swearing keeps boxing proffessional and classy. I agree with him. This isnt meathead ufc.

One man pounding another man in the head with your fists is supposed to be classy?

For *** sake this isn't ballet and I suppose you never heard the millions of swear words that come out of the mouths of athletes in just about every other sport in the world yet you single out UFC.

No swear words in boxing but organized crime is ok?

Its not the worst idea but not the best either having a new division.

If anything like some have suggested the cut off for HW would be sufficient. A SHW division would become a novelty weight class.
