The only reason Hopkins might show age is because of how young and athletic Taylor is. Hopkins did just fine with Eastman and De La Hoya. Taylor is a much younger and nastier fighter than either of them. His size and speed will be major factors in this fight. I predict Hopkins will try to stay away with foot movement and win a decision, but Jermain might just be faster than Hopkins. I'll definitely be at the MGM Grand for this one.

Hopkins has been showing his age. He is old but his experience and ring smarts would get him through with a fighter as inexperienced as Taylor is.

Yeah, but you gotta remember that the biggest fight Taylor's ever been in was Joppy and after that fight he even said he's just happy he was able to go twelve rounds with the top guy sof the division (which Joppy was obviously not). Now coming from fighting his sparring partner to headlining a payper view against the middleweight king, that's one heck of a jump in opposition. The magnitude of the fight will get to him, and he'll play into Hopkins' game. His size and speed won't be the deciding factor in my opinion, more of the mindset he'll develop leading to the fight and the mental control he'll exhibit in the ring. Hopkins is too crafty and he'll take away any advantages Taylor might have over him. Jermain's gonna have to impose his will nad take the titles, I just think he's too humble to do that.

Taylor is a no talent slug. Ruiz would beat the **** out of him. Bernard by UD.

Sure he's slowed down over time but he doesn't fight like a 40 year old man.

i think taylor will do good at the begining then slowly get owned and schooled in the mid-late rounds and maybe ko'ed(but doubt it). Bernard for sure.
Now for all those getting excited from a tito/hopkins rematch...true tito may win but at what cause..tito had to wait for hopkins to get old..it wont prove anythign and wont change the fact that a prime-semi old hopkins wopped him the first time.

Joppy may have been his biggest name, but Taylor won every round of that fight. The fight only went 12 rounds because after Joppy got knocked senseless, he started to run and dance around the ring showing off. Taylor probably didn't give a **** because he figured Joppy was giving up. Joppy was totally outclassed. The way he acted in the face of adversity was a disgrace to the sport.

I don't understand why people keep saying that if Hopkins loses, it's because of his age. He dominated his most recent fights, but if he loses it's because of his age? You can't have it both ways my friend. If he wins, it's because he is the better fighter, if he loses it's because he's NOT the better fighter. Simple.

Hopkins by close decision. He'll wear him down and punish him in the late rounds. I don't think Taylor will do enough early to give himself an advantage late.
