who gives a ****, hopkins can do whatever he wants at this stage in his career, fighting danny green is just as pointless as fighting roy jones, in the lesser of two evils, i would pick jones just because i've wanted to see hopkins rematch jones again. green i could care less about, even if he did beat jones in their last fight, we only get to hear what they tell us, not what really happens in the negotiating room.

neither fight is really attractive, i wouldn't mind seeing hopkins fight someone else though. basically, what ever hopkins is willing to do at this point is pretty amazing to say the least, way better than his counter parts........

Why don't people understand that resume does not equal draw? In this fight Hopkins would not be the draw and in America the fight is not feasible because Hopkins isn't a big draw to begin with and Danny Green is a no body here. In Australia, on the other hand, Danny Green is THE draw and would be the reason that a high purse would be brought to the table. In no way, shape, or form is Hopkins the draw in this fight and even giving him half the purse is rather foolish on Greens part. Hopkins, Jones, and all these old fighters living off the past are delusional if they think they deserve strong purses just because they had impressive resumes. If I were Green I would lowball Hop and offer him 35%, take it leave it because you know he isn't making much more against anyone out there.

everyone knows that green is a champion of paper, and he should had been DQ because is punch he gave to roy wasn't legal at all
plus he used some hand wrap illegaly
once roy beat Bernard, i think he should rematch green and show him why they call him Superman

When has Green been a draw in his own country when he has not fought mundine or Jones? Fact is Green is not **** anywhere unless he fights an Australian or a legend. Hopkins makes more than Pavlik, but you think he should get 35% against Danny ****ing green. And one more thing. How is Hopkins living in the past since you put him in the category of these old fighters stuck in the past? he man is a top 3 p4p fighter, and is rated number one in his division. I get the feeling you just do not like Bernard Hopkins, like when was the last time Hopkins made a smaller purse than a named opponent let alone a scrub like Green, Oscar De La Hoya.

Green is a bigger draw than you are giving him credit for. You can't really say he isn't a draw because of his past, he is on a new level of popularity since the Roy bout. I don't know his exact drawing power but didn't he generate enough money to give Roy a few million dollar pay day(I could be wrong). Wouldn't a 3 million dollar payday be the biggest of Roys career in lets say the last 7 years. Same goes with Hop, his purses over the years unless he is fighting a real money generator(tito and oscar) haven't been that hot.

I don't dislike Hopkins or Roy but I think they live in a pipe dream. I think they both feel that they are owed something because they are hall of fame fighters but that isn't the case. They both have never generated huge PPV numbers on just their name and never will, so why are they acting like they can demand top dollar? Green may be a scrub but he is the name in this fight and at least he has a countries backing. BHOP and Roy have never had that or reached that height of popularity, money wise.

the win against roy wasnt legit. illegally wrapped hands and blow to the back of the head. and pitiful stoppage by the ref. plus bernard will make 10x as much in a rematch with rjj than weak ass nobody ass green. if green was a draw then why wasnt it televised in america? cuz green is a nobody!

Hopkins is scared of being beaten...plain and simple...he doesint want to risk the lucky KO by Green.
This fight would fill the Acer arena...the RJJ fight only pulled about 13-14 thousand...people want to see Hopkins shut up.
I reckon he would get about 3-4 million for this fight easy.
I was there for the dissapointing RJJ fight and yes it was stopped prematurely and it was dissapointing...however I still think Roy could beat Green and hope they have a rematch in the US.
