Why the hell does Hopkins deverse 60-40 ?
Green is the much bigger draw in this fight. Hopkins is boring and no one pays to see him. Hops is a good way to put people to sleep, not because os his punches but because of his boring ass style.

while i think Green should've accepted 60-40, gambleer has a point. The fight will probably generate more money in Oz than it will in the states. Green is a big draw over there especially after he KOd Jones.

hopkins fought ornelas basically for free.. the fight was on VERSUS because bhop wanted it there for all his fans in philly to have no problem tuning in and it was a cheap ticket.. so green makes no sense there, bhop deserves the 60-40 split, who da hell is danny green ? bhop is the one who would bring interest into that fight.. now hes facing jones for the rematch, no matter what people got to say bout roy, folks will tune in.. bhop is gonna make more money and is finally gonna get his W vs jones.. after that they both should retire

Why don't people understand that resume does not equal draw? In this fight Hopkins would not be the draw and in America the fight is not feasible because Hopkins isn't a big draw to begin with and Danny Green is a no body here. In Australia, on the other hand, Danny Green is THE draw and would be the reason that a high purse would be brought to the table. In no way, shape, or form is Hopkins the draw in this fight and even giving him half the purse is rather foolish on Greens part. Hopkins, Jones, and all these old fighters living off the past are delusional if they think they deserve strong purses just because they had impressive resumes. If I were Green I would lowball Hop and offer him 35%, take it leave it because you know he isn't making much more against anyone out there.
