Josh is stronger and tougher. cintron has more power and is the better boxer.

Cintron takes a decision over Clottey. Just like Cintron beat Angulo.... same blueprint.
zab judah actually quit and it should have been a tko so i wouldn't say he took his punches too well.

how is it the same blueprint when clottey is a counterpuncher and angulo is a pressure fighter? cintron threw punches to keep angulo off him where if he throws punches like that against clottey he's gonna get countered.

I think Clottey is the better fighter and would win a fight if they fought.

Thanks to everyone who actually addressed the question. When I saw this thread ended up being 13 pages, I knew it must've been overrun by Mayweather-Pac talk.

Both are the same level, but style wise Clottey beats him for sure. Both decent but not great.

I'm really surprised how lopsided this ended up being. I'm sure some people have motive, but it's still surprising that it became very one sided.

As others have said, I believe this is a true toss up, especially if the two were to fight. People have to realize that Clottey has a tendency to take rounds off and get in sort of a Hopkins mentality of "I deserve this". Sometimes I think HE thinks he's winning a round when he really isn't. Much was the case against Cotto IMO.

But Cintron has a worse mentality than Clottey, But fighter arent tough mentally, They both like to look for a way out but Cintron is worse, The guy is all about power and when he lands his best shot and you dont move he would fold mentally.

If he fights Clottey and land something big Clottey would take it and that would be the begin of the end for Cintron because he would fold and clottey would start landing his double left combo on Cintron.

                    Clottey all the way....sorry

also just cause pac doesn't want to fight someone doesn't mean he would lose to them. but that's you just being hypothetical. i guess margarito, mosley, cotto, williams, and pac would all beat floyd just cause he doesnt want to fight them.
I didn't mean Cotto was weak? Sorry for the confusion.

Let me clarify...Clottey had Cotto beaten early on during that fight and couldn't finish him...Everyone who's seen the fight has to agree...and not only that, Cotto basically had one eye for the majority of the fight...So when I say weak...I should have said "weakened"

I never said Martinez was great...I did say that he was a legitimate Jr. Middleweight - ...Who in his LAST FIGHT went toe to toe with arguably the one of best p4p fighters in the world. So from his most recent outing he showed that he wasn't the scrub you're making him out to be???

and the Martinez loss to MargaCHEATO was nearly ten years ago...Didn't we already discuss him...and please quit giving this cheater the benefit of the doubt?

Let's end it like this...I don't think NEITHER Cintron or Clottey are great...They both have similar ceilings in terms of potential BUT I think Cintron edges Clottey out due to Clottey's willingness to stand right in front of his opponents and trade, he doesn't have knockout power therefore he'd take just has much punishment as he'd give out and that isn't a good recipe for winning against a fighter in Cintron who absolutely has ONE PUNCH knockout power.

I tried to be as factual as possible, so please correct me if you think I'm wrong???

Thanks DAGGUM I love boxing and enjoy talking about it...It seems like you're passionate about it as well...I appreciate the back and forth!!!

                      Peace MO!
