  • What DEFINES Greatness... Skills Or Resume?

Most would say a combination of the two but if you could only choose ONE, which would be more important to you in defining what makes a great fighter?

The skills, abilities, style and technique that a boxer displays.

The resume, record and opponents that a boxer has faced and defeated.

    The only option is both.

      Resume...

If your skills suck but somehow managed to beat the Alis, Leonards, Durans etc. of your era, then you would be greater IMO than someone who has the best skills but has a bad resume.

Skills are nothing if you've never beat anyone of note. I vote for skills

                Resume....

A boxer with inferior skills can not win fights and hence, produce a great resume.....

in short, a great resume is a by product of hard training, skills and overcoming the best opponents
