I'm sure floyd could fight anyone he so desires. Al Haymon could advise Floyd anything he wants, but in the end he works for floyd.
Well take Floyd out of the picture... Say Williams grabs a belt at WW... Berto-Williams? 2 belt holders?

It's not just about Floyd, but Haymon as a manager in general.

      So Floyd wont fight.....

      Manny.....because hes on roids
Shane.....because he lost 5 times, is not a PPV attraction and is on roids
Williams or Berto......because they have the same manager
Margarito......because "we arent trying to prove to the boxing fans who the best is"
Cotto......because he lives in Puerto Rico

      Wow.

Especially since it will be a mega-fight earning the whole crew much paper.

I think for one thing {IMHO} too much is placed on a loss these days - losing a fight is not the end of the world. And losing against another top opponent doesn't diminish your worth .... its just part of being a competitor.

        I say yes!!!!!!

Put Floyd and Williams\Berto in the ring together .... All of boxing will be glad you did.

        True...see Sergio Martinez

          link please.

Even if you show me a link where a article you cant believe it 100%. Boxing is the most crooked sport in the world. Just like the anonymous sources bullcrap with the emails, boxing promoters & players use boxing writers to play the public & opposing fighters camp.

I find it hard to believe pwill would turn down berto unless he cant comfortably make 147.

            floyd's his own man

that's why he needs a manager to tell him what to do.

I don't know. I think if another one of his guys had a bigger name ($$$), than maybe things would be different. Who knows, the guy is a complete mystery as far as I'm concerned.

I think he meant Paul was turned down by Berto, namely DiBella.

If Paul loses...he'll simply take his ass to 154 or 160 and get it popping.
Im not saying that he would be finished or anything. Im just saying that he will have lost a ton of luster. The shine would definitely be off his ass. Its not just about Floyd. Its the fact of Floyd beating him convicngly after him getting schooled over 12 by Quintana and then going life & death with Martinez. That doesnt mean that he sucks by any means but he will have takened a big hit in public perception as the unbeatable freak
