I have a hard time believing that if Floyd WANTED to fight Berto Al Haymon would be all, "no floyd, not going to happen!"

I'm sure floyd could fight anyone he so desires. Al Haymon could advise Floyd anything he wants, but in the end he works for floyd.

Well take Floyd out of the picture... Say Williams grabs a belt at WW... Berto-Williams? 2 belt holders?

It's not just about Floyd, but Haymon as a manager in general.

Shane.....because he lost 5 times, is not a PPV attraction and is on roids
Williams or Berto......because they have the same manager
Margarito......because "we arent trying to prove to the boxing fans who the best is"

I've never understood it either. Business is business and even though you manage the careers of three top fighters ... bills have to be paid. There is no legitimate reason why fighter's under his financial\career guidance cannot meet each other while at the top of their game. Especially since it will be a mega-fight earning the whole crew much paper.

I think for one thing {IMHO} too much is placed on a loss these days - losing a fight is not the end of the world. And losing against another top opponent doesn't diminish your worth .... its just part of being a competitor.
