    double standards?

EVERY trainer/manager tries to get the slight advantages.

whether it be catchweight , ring size , glove size , glove brand , who enters the ring first , etc.

just because a trainer asks for slight advantages doesn't me it's a double standard for them to refuse a slight advantage on the opponents side.

    get it?
Oscar was coming down from 150. Please.

Because Clottey is a top 5 welterweight.

He's never been beaten badly and it's a genuinely good fight.

No one involved in the negotiations has said anything other than it's at 147, clottey is a good if not stellar opponent. Certainly better than anyone Floyd has been linked with bar Williams.

And how was he too small when he just fought at 147 against Oscar??

If they think they are too small...move down ...but or fight a WEAK 147 Pounder..dont fight one with a belt and force him to put it on the line.
i'd agree for him to move down if he needs catchweights at 147 to compete.

i don't know if you know this but clottey fight will be at 147 not a catchweight. you're probably just playing dumb or are you playing?

a weak 147 pounder? clottey is one of the strongest guys at 147.

Roach did train Oscar for his fight against Floyd, so he did have some inside knowledge. If you notice the fighters who gave Manny a lot of problems were right hand dominant fighters, with a good straight right: Morales and Marquez. Cotto, Oscar and Hatton are all left hand dominant fighters who don't really use the straight right.

Interesting school of thought there - you could be right.

When I said weak 147 Pounder..I was talking about that what Team Pac shouldve done instead of fighting Cotto if they think Pac was too small.

And there are conflicting reports on the catch weight.

If a guy like Clottey is hungry for a payday, he'll cut off his left arm to arm to make a catch-weight.

The fact that such a request is made, whether a fighter refuses or accepts it, is more indicative of of intentions to place an opponent at a great disadvantage...and the disadvantage of losing weight is a big deal. Specially for a guy like Clottey.

....the ironic thing is that this is a guy who refused to take a random blood test because it supposedly places him at a disadvantage. What a crock of ****.

cotto was a good matchup. a good welterweight but he didn't have large height and reach advantages.

the conflicting reports come from dumbass people in philippines.

gacal and koncz. those idiots don't know anything. they just talk to the media and talk out of their ass to make themself seem important and make it seem like they know something or matter.

koncz already took back his comments btw. he now says 147. what a dumbass that guy is.

look at all the articles quoting gacal and koncz in previous negotiations. delahoya , hatton , cotto , etc.

they're wrong a lot. when it comes to fight details , arum and roach is who matters.

if you want to find out about pacquiao's concert or where he's eating tonight. then you listen to koncz.
