    wtf???

Bob Arum guided cotto's career very nicely, he got him ALL THE BIG FIGHTS, multiple world titles, the best fighters available, a huge ppv star, millions of dollars....what more would you want your promoter to do!?

Duck all the opposition? Oh I see. So now all of a sudden the right path is to avoid tough fights i.e floyd mayweather & joe calzaghe. That's the path to glory

      Why by fighting the best?

isn't that what Prime boxers are supposed to do?

Unless your fraud mayweather who fights guys from lower weight divisions/past prime/guys coming off losses or just flat out not world class.

To be honest, there's one boxing event I'm really looking forward to this year. I've never seen Cotto fight but I've watched him for his entire career. I'm going to MSG for whatever comeback fight he has. Nothing but respect and admiration for Miguel. I think his last fight at MSG will be something special.

Fighters sign with promoters to get the big fights. It's up to the fighter on how he does on those fights.

In fairness he brought Cotto along perfectly and developed a great fighter with a huge fan base out of a guy with little Charisma.
The Marg thing stunk, he was a **** about that. But then u can say he fed him to Pac but u could look at it this way and remember many thought Cotto
had a great chance, he got him a big money fight and a shot at p4p acclaim against the number 1 fighter in the game plus he got him a title real quick and easy before that in his comeback fight

Green K to you brother. That is REAL TALK. I always like to say it is a promoters job to guide you to the water. It is the fighters job to drink it once they get there.

yes, he shouldve done the floyd route and fed him lightweights like JMM

I dont understand the hate for Arum on this. Cotto was undefeated going through the likes of Mosley, Malignaggi, and zab. If youre telling us he shouldnt have fought Margarito then wtf...

He also gave him Jennings after Margarito to build his confidence up, and Clottey as a legit match. Then he fought Manny for the biggest payday of his career. Arum's done pretty well building Cotto up in a textbook manner.

He's fought the best out there and is considered a top contender in his divison, if youre accusing Arum of pinning him against the best, then fault Cotto for having balls for trying to prove he's the best. Him being beat by Manny isnt any fault of Arums.

I don't want fighters to avoid anyone. I was one of the ones bitching about Floyd ducking Cotto.
