Roy said "60/40 and you get your ass whupped". No, Bhop didn't deserve an even split after losing the first one. He lost, he shouldn't start making demands on the purse cut. Zab knew that and he took a 150K purse to get the rematch. but bernard always tried to be the shrewed business man.

hopkins hurt his career by being his own business man. Yeah it's a move so that you dont get screwed over by a promotoer/manager but still sometimes fighters just price themselves out.. He could ahve haad lucarative deals with a rematch between jones and trinidad..But his demands were too much..He hurt his career more than he helped it by being his own promoter

I don't think so. But it would add interest to the fight in addition to settling the money dispute...
