Jermain Taylor had to do this. If he continued Froch, Kessler, and Ward would have all put him back in the hospital. Don't ruin your live over this.

good decision, big fan of jermain, i really hope but takes his place, he is the only other SM, that has a chance. Unless pavlik would join. Which is highly unlikely.

How many times to people have to hear that neither Bute nor Pavlik are taking Taylor's place? It's not even a possibility.
Bika and Green are supposedly fighting in February to determine who will get Taylor's spot.
