and with a 20mil marketing expense from the Mayweather-Marquez bout i wonder how little did GBP really earn in that fight... well compared to the Pac-Cotto fight of course

The writer has some good points in that article. Blowing off the Mayweather fight to fight a tough guy like Clottey for a fraction of the money seems a bit crazy. Manny's got some balls. He could have taken a much safer fight with Malignaggi and nobody would have really criticized him for that.

I don't know if I'd say Mayweather "won" anything, though. I guess he sort of looks like the good guy for once since he is agreeing to take a random blood test and Pac will not. I'm sure that if they do end up fighting later this year, Floyd will not budge on the blood test and Manny will have to end up giving in anyway. It's a real shame that this **** fell apart over a measly 10 days for testing.

On the other hand, if both Floyd and Manny end up with some nice wins in their next fights, the fight could be potentially, even bigger than it would have been in March.

Exactly. Sure, everyone's pissed off now, but as soon as the fight is sealed and the first 24/7 hit the air, everybody's gonna be excited again. Not to mention all the hatred from "*****s" and "*******s" for their respective counterparts, of course they still want to see the fight and they want to see the other guy lose more badly than ever...

I feel a little hate for both of them. Screw what they want..
Screw Mayweather for random testing, and screw Pacquiao for not compromising.

It's what us fans want is what counts. And their ego got in the way for boxing's biggest fight yet.

but they will fight eventually don't worry

Yeah, it will just further build up the fight. **** is going to be HUGE when it finally happens!

He lost a payday. He and his dad are staring at a lawsuit.

GBP also has one lawsuit and another coming their way for conflict of interest. They stand to lose whatever little share they have in Pac's earnings.

                Round 2:

                Pac-Clottey
                Vs
                Floyd-Campbell

                Floyd takes the knee.

                lulz
yes, now floyd is considering soupy campbell.
floyd to choose 38 years old over a live jrww in bradley.
have pitty on your victims, bratha floyd....

I agree with the writer on this. I would love for Clottey to put an end to Top Rank's shenanigans with a TKO of Pac but one can only dream right.

This is simply not happening. There's a reason why Clottey, a Top Rank fighter who always does well but never enough to derail the golden goose (vs. Margarito & Cotto, for instance), has been chosen. If there is such a thing as a sure thing, this is it. Pacquiao will take this and make it look easier than you would've imagined.

Body blow and round 1 to Floyd? More like a low blow and DQ. What about the liver shot Pacquiao gave to Floyd's bank account?

The Pre-fight battle is no contest up to this point in favor of Pacquiao. Take a look at any public opinion polls that think Pac's a cheater and they're like 9 to 1 in his favor. He's called Floyd's bluff, will undoubtedly beat him in the PPV race if Floyd decides to fight on March 13th, and has forced Floyd to fight someone dangerous. Bradley, while talented, is still far too inexperienced and once again a smaller guy that's unproven at 147. He's also unknown which won't help the PPV and he's a Showtime boxer. Only way to upstage Pac now is to fight either Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez, which everyone knows he's too much of a chicken to do. Floyd and GBP get a Fail.
