The way I feel is Floyd is still young and he has time to take on the toughest challenges.

I have hope for that, and he could outshine Leonard, but he's gotta fight the major guys to get his shine back.

Leonard retired how many times and came back.

I think Floyd has the chance to prove any doubters wrong without if's but by his actions.

If you want to compare them then do it P4P and Floyd more than holds his own in that regard with him or Hearns. Floyd at SFW is just as good as they are at WW and I think he has looked better at higher weights then they have

P4P matchup wherein they are the same size i think its 50-50

Prime for prime at Welterweight Leonard knocks beats Floyd - Big man beats the smaller man.

Ray has big names on his list but were those names in there primes when he fought them? Hearns YES...Even though his best was at 154

Duran - Ray himself said it was to much controversy. He wasn't dominating that fight like ppl think and he was running around the ring barely even punching. Big name on the resume but to much controversy. Peak vs Peak Duran beat him

Hagler - He looked old and slow in the Mugabi fight and that's why Ray fought him. Ray wasn't all that quick in there fight. Hagler was just slow

What Terry Norris did to SRL in 1991 would have happened had Ray tested himself against a young fighter with speed in 1987, 1988, 1989. The layoff didnt affect him as much against Hagler because he was also older, inactive for a while and was extremely slow in that fight.

i just don't see it happening man. he has not dared to be great as srl, and the like had. it's all about $. he has the potential to be spoken about with the likes of srl, hagler, etc....but he must dare to be great to get there, and sadly i don't think he will.

That Terry Norris fight was a dumb idea. I remember that fight vividly.
Norris was chinny but what a puncher when he was on.

Ray tested himself against a young Quincy Taylor a week before the Hagler fight and got knocked out. This is why he didn't want to face the young fighters after Hagler. Ray was smart and knew what style matchups favored him in 1987, 1988, 1989. In 1991 he decided to face a young quick fighter and look what happen. Same results would have happened in 1987.

Hagler was just a name but there were several young fighters that weren't as big a names as Hagler in 1987 and 1988 that would have given Ray more problems than Hagler did.

Leonard retired once because of an eye problem, unlike Floyd who retired because he had lost the passion for the sport and returned because he has lost the money he earned in the sport..

Go away you ****ing clown, Leonard fought the best, Floyd has been ducking the best.

It's sad cause Floyd could be one of the all time great, but unless he mans up he wont be because he's too scared to lose his 0 so he won't even fight somebody who could give him a challenge.

He went from wanting to fight Pacquiao to wanting to fight....Matthew Hatton, give me a break dude.

I don't see Money beating Leonard, Hearns or Hagler but maybe I'm biased.

Floyd is the Leonard of the 00's in certain ways...although Leonard fought everyone...hopefully Floyd will fight at least a few of the best before its said and done at WW...
