boxing has had big, tall heavyweight champions like the klistchkos, lennox lewis, george foreman. when you watch them move outside of the ring however, they look pretty clumsy compared to athletes of the same size of different sports.

On the other hand while these basketball players may look big, agile and graceful with good stamina it doesnt necessarily make them tough or physical in a fight game sense. Nor would it mean their agility or gracefulness would translate in the the kind of agility or gracefulness you would need in the ring.

Karelin, now that guy is a certified beast. The term bad ass gets thrown a bit too much around here but that guy is a BAD-ASS. Only Gennaro Gattuso is more bad ass than him.

        Went undefeated for 13 years

I suspect he would have KO'd Bowe, Tyson, Holfield & Lewis all within 6 rounds.

        Better yet, let's discuss Unicorns
That's amazing the guy achieved all that in an era before headgear was standard and does not have cauliflower ear.

In other words how would their athleticism and physical advantages translate to the heavyweight division.

Thank you for pointing that out burner. However, I bet Howard even now would beat the living hell out of Arreola if he had a rwo month training camp.

Football players do not have the make up to be fighters though. It is known that basketball players make the best all round athletes and make the best fighters. Look at Roy Jones and Manny Pacquiao who are good basketball players.

                    Rasheed Walace would dust fools.
