Does anyone seriously still believe Khan wants to fight Maidana?

And when Khan schools Maidana does Maidana suddenly become an over-rated bum or will people eat their words?

        Why not?

Maidan is crude, slow, lacks skills, defence, movement and a boxing skill set. All he has is a punch.

Khan is at least 3 levels above him.

        Easy pay day.

        Mainda gets wiped OUT!

It'd be his toughest opponent and best win to date.

Ricky has only been beaten once at 140 by an extremely exceptional fighter. I think Hatton is still competitive at 140 and I reckon he KO's Khan.

Fuck Khan a million times over for even thinking about this. How many more shot fighters does he want on his resume?

Fight Maidana or quit boxing. It's as simple as that.

“Obviously, I have a mandatory defence of my WBA title to make and Ricky probably would want a warm-up fight but maybe later in the year it could happen. It would be the type of fight that would be great at an outdoor venue like one of the big football grounds.”

He said that this would only be after facing his mandatory (maidana), I keep telling people the Sun article is very unreliable and the roach quotes were after the kotelnik fight. I really doubt that hed actualy vacate the title. In warrens blog when he stated that the fight is going to purse bids, he didnt mention a thing about vacating.

'' AMIR KHAN'S mandatory WBA light-welterweight title defence against Argentinian Marcos Maidana will go to purse bids this week after those involved couldn't come to an agreement.''

Its not really up to warren either as Khan is a free agent atm but will still work with warren for certain fights, hes also been talking to other promoters.

boxing is a business. money wins at all times. Khan v Hatton will make him tens of million and with no risk at all. anyone with half abrain would take this fight if Hatton is man enough to take it.

No, fuck YOU for supporting this ****. You're not truly a Khan fan if you do, because the fact that he (or Roach) is even considering dropping the belt to duck Maidana is utter tripe. Right now I don't care if it's other people telling him to do so - Khan should be his own man, and thus man up by fighting his mandatory.

And there's him talking about Hattons and Mayweathers, when he's not even relishing the challenge from Maidana... Pathetic.

And you're openly lending your support to that notion? Well fuck you again. That's just politics for cunts right there. It simply isn't the reason why most of us watch boxing - we shouldn't give a **** about money or the business side of it.

Just like Barrera was no risk at all, and look at how that fight was viewed. In hindsight I loathe the fact that he took that fight. So what kind of fan are you for wanting more flak thrown at him, from fighting a shot Hatton? Seriously, get a fucking grip on reality.

And anyone with a complete brain would skip it and take a better challenge - such as unification with Bradley, or the Alexander-Urango winner. Move up the hard way, instead of beating shot fighters, no matter how much the lure of money. Khan should take a tip from the likes of Bradley, if anything.

What a pointless fight(in my eyes). I mean it would get him exposure. But I hope is willing to try and clean out the division(atleast make an attempt). He hasn't done anything to warrant huge money fights yet in my opinion.
140 is stacked. And I'm not even saying Hatton is totally shot. But he ain't the same fighter.
