From what I see in here the IBF is a joke.

They are a joke. They forced Hatton to vacate in order to fight Malignaggi instead of mandatory challenger Urango which he already held a win over at the time.

They also forced Nate Campbell to vacate for trying to fight Guzman instead of their mandatory tomato can.

The difference would be that maybe 147 Unification would be attained.

It would be a great addition to Floyds WW resume to be the Undefeated, Undisputed Unified WW Champ of the World no?

That fight would have been huge 2 years ago and would actually still be interesting nowadays. I would actually respect that move, even though all the Floyd haters would say Cotto is shot and ruined by Pacquiao blah, blah, blah, just like all the Pac haters were saying Cotto was ruined by Margarito and would be weight drained by 2 ****ing pounds.

That being said, I would still pay to see Mayweather vs. Cotto.

why would he refuse Pacquiao's belt and the sanctioning fee for it but pay it against a much lesser known fighter with no following?

You dont seem to get it, A pacquiao/Mayweather fight doesnt need a belt to SELL!!! So no need for both fighter to have the belt on line and pay ****** sanctioning fees, Their respective names and the relevant of who is the best sells the fight alone.

Compare that to a Mayweather/zaneck fight which no one cares about unless its for a belt...Hope you understand.
