Clottey Was Picked Because Of His Toughness...

..Clottey is definitely stronger but a lot slower compared to Yuri. He is much like Cotto but less smarter. Atlas is basically not happy because TeaM Pac made a right decision by not fighting Yuri. Any boxer that knows how to use the ring to his advantage against Pac will likely beat Manny, Pac's weakness are the boxers that doesn't want to engage. Floyd and Yuri has that ability. Any boxer that thinks that they can withstand Pac's punches and chooses to engage will not last 9 rounds.

Clottey will have to chase Pac and pressure him in order for him to win. The thing about Clottey is that he lacks the killer instincts.

If the fight happens, to beat Pac is to do it in 3 rounds. Pac is a very slow starter and he sizes-up his opponent in the 1st 2 rounds. When Pac heats up, he becomes a locomotive.
