fighting foreman at 154 will automatically mean 10 oz gloves, no ifs, no buts. But staying at 147 gives the option of 8 oz gloves. This aside from foreman being 5 inches taller, may have swayed Pacquiao to consider someone like Clottey instead of Foreman.

Question: What are the gloves sizes based on the boxer/kickboxer's weight?
Answer: Athletes (boxers/kickboxers) weighing-in up to and including 135 pounds must wear 8 oz. gloves in competition, while athletes weighing-in over 135 pounds (junior welterweight class and above) must wear 10 oz. gloves in competition. However, athletes weighing in over 135 but not more than 147 pounds may wear 8 ounce gloves in competition if both athletes agree to do so in writing.

i think this fight is alot tougher than the mayweighter fight!!!
a lot tougher, but for me, easier. Mayweather is harder to fight because of his style, but he's nowhere close to being a dangerous fight.

Irrelevant...they are not illegal in nevada.....which means any figther with hand problems uses it when they fight in nevada and prob in all likelyhood even fighters with good hands..........also irrelevant as Pac wanted the fight in Vegas

see my reply to that below.....you are reaching...why??

It's perfectly legal...that means if pac wants to use them or any fighter in nevada they can.....= a level playing field.....

If PED's were legal in Nevada but not in the other states then they wouldn't bother testing at all because any fighter who has a match in Nevada could legally dope therefore again the playing field is even......

If he has learnt his lesson, he will not make that mistake this time, and plus there's a lot more at stake now vs Manny.

But seriously, Clottey comes into the ring at 165-170lbs usually, he isn't much taller than Manny, but the sheer weight advantage he will have will be substantial, giving away 15-20lbs as Manny will have to do is a lot to give away vs a good fighter, well vs anyone really. He is very good defensively, goes to the body, has good timing, and when he gets going and starts fighting he is so strong and hard to keep off, especially when he is 15-20lbs heavier than you.

Not an easy fight for Manny. He needs to use lateral movement, angles to come around Clottey's guard, and fast potshots to score points, in an out in and out. And he will need to be in superb shape.

He still beat Cotto, wether he eased up or not....

i see manny wins in UD, CANT SEE CLOTTEY GETTING KNOCKED OUT. CLOTTEY IS COMING WITH HIS OLD TRAINER FROM THE AMATEUR SAYS "CUTI" SO IT MAY HELP CLOTTEY MORE,BUT NOT OF COURSE TO WIN THE FIGHT. CLOTTEY SHELL DEFENSE THAT HE HAS WILL EVENTUALLY LOOSEN UP FOR PACQUAIO TO EASLIY WIN THE ROUNDS WHEN CLOTTEY DOSENT THROW ENOUGH PUNCHES. JUST LIKE THE COTTO FIGHT ,COTTO HAD MORE WORKRATE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS TO SQUEEK OUT THE SD. HOPEFULLY CLOTTEY STEPS UP THE AMOUNT OF PUNCHES HE THROWS TO MAKE IT DECENT FIGHT,NOT JUST DEFENSE.

if pbf wants blood testing, then pac should also say the fight should be in texas. That's exactly the reason why schaefer just erased cowboys stadium out of his mind. Also, why can't anyone also try to detract de la hoya's use of a similar substance before his fight with bernard hopkins which was also illegal at the state of nevada. Seems like everyone just try to brush it off because de la hoya got whooped in that fight anyways.
