Oops. Thanks for picking up the error, looks like I left out some words. Meant to say he lost his chance at the WW belt when he lost to Cotto. Point is that Pac can't get any closer to unifying the title since Cttley does not currently own a belt.

Clottley is a tough fighter and the MP vs JC fight should be a more entertaining fight than the Pac vs Foreman previously proposed fight.

this is a good fight im glad that those other two bull**** fights against malignaggi and foreman didnt come off. clottey is a beast and will not let pac come forward at all like cotto did. this is pacs toughest fight yet

did they signed the fight contract already? 'am still thinking that this is just a decoy by arum to make floyd cave-in and drop this blood test bs. floyd is almost broke again and he needs this fight very badly.

i agree that this is a very tough fight for pac because clottey already fought some of the best in the division, we can not count out his experince. but eventually, pac will prevail because clottey is having problems with high work rate opponents. there were instances that pac does'nt mind gettin' hit as long as he can land his combos which normally rattles his opponent. perhaps a possible upset if clottey can establish a perfect plan to counter pac's assault.
still, anything can happen but for sure, this will be an entertaining fight.

How can anyone NOT respect Manny?

How can ANYONE not respect Manny after this fight was announced? First it was Malinaggi, then Foreman and NOBODY thought either fight were dangerous or meaningful. Clottey is an avoided fighter. And although Manny could have chosen a fighter he was expected to beat, he chose Clottey who is no slouch.

I am no fanboy of Manny. But you have to respect this move when Mayweather is going to counter with a straight up garbage fight. Anything besides the winnder of Mosley/Berto would be a typical Mayweather duck of a hard fight.

                pac is taking the risk...again.

this make him well-adored by the hardcore boxing fans.

chicken floyd????? let him fight the amateurish matt hatton or the girlie paulie to keep his 0 intact.

                  Biased against Pac

Atlas has always been biased and wrong against Pacman. If you follow his predictions regarding Pacman's fights, he's only been right with the Cotto fight. Pacquiao has always made Atlas look and sound silly predicting his fights. This is a dangerous fight for Pacquiao. But, he takes on Clottey anyway because he's not afraid to lose. That's always been the foundation of respect for Pacman. There's always a chance of Pacman losing in his fights. And that's one of the reasons he's exciting to watch. I'm just going to enjoy watching Pac in his last remaining fights because I don't think there's going to be more than three left before he retires. I'm not going to buy into the smear campaign the Mayweather clan did to Pac because he has conducted hinself as a true champion in and out of the ring and I can't say the same for Floyd jr, Floyd sr and Roger Mayweather. Plainly put, you have to be a gullible and ignorant boxing fan to believe the accusations of Floyd Sr.

lol at your so called "more entertaining fight." It's 1 step closer for me because clottey is a very tough opponent. If clottey just stepped up the gas late in his fight with cotto, he could've won.
