I think Jones beat him Ruiz more convincingly due to the fact that he outworked him and beat him without getting a scratch in his face, rather Toney bleeding from the mouth. But cong**** to Toney for his win...
Who beat Ruiz more convincingly? Jones or Toney?

i think they were different kind of fights.....toney faught ruiz like a heavyweight....roy jones used his speed to fight him like a middlweight........nevermind i confused myself...they both kicked his ass but I think toney faught him the hardway -
This does of course seem to invalidate Jones's win slightly. Well, maybe "invalidate" is a bit of a strong word for it, but as Jim Lampley said, there's only been three former middleweights in history that have beaten heavyweights... and two of them were against John Ruiz.Comment

Good point. Ruiz was one of the weakest champs ever and this must be realized when contextualizing Toney`s and Jones` achievement. I fear Ruiz will be back fighting a Don King heavy for a title but at least Toney sorted him out tonight!Originally posted by AnorakThis does of course seem to invalidate Jones's win slightly. I don't understand the need to even ask.
Jones won 11 rounds to 1.
Toney won thoroughly, but not as near to a shut out as Jones.Comment
