I think Jones beat him Ruiz more convincingly due to the fact that he outworked him and beat him without getting a scratch in his face, rather Toney bleeding from the mouth. But cong**** to Toney for his win...

This does of course seem to invalidate Jones's win slightly. Well, maybe "invalidate" is a bit of a strong word for it, but as Jim Lampley said, there's only been three former middleweights in history that have beaten heavyweights... and two of them were against John Ruiz.

Good point. Ruiz was one of the weakest champs ever and this must be realized when contextualizing Toney`s and Jones` achievement. I fear Ruiz will be back fighting a Don King heavy for a title but at least Toney sorted him out tonight!

I think he should fight Brewster next just to pick up another belt.

                I'd have to say Jones...

I don't understand the need to even ask.

Jones won 11 rounds to 1.

Toney won thoroughly, but not as near to a shut out as Jones.
