If there was ever a time to introduce olympic style testing, it is in this fight...why? All eyes will be on boxing...and this was an opportunity to set boxing apart from other sports. Whether Mayweather's idea of testing was sinister or not, the fact is, it was brilliant, and i always applaud brilliance.

People sitting watching this played out and taking Manny's side goes to show how blind love really can be, and how hatred can really cloud common sense.

Manny never really wanted the fight..all who been watching boxing for more than a year can go back to when Manny's name first mentioned alongside mayweather, at first it was ludicrous to imagine such a thing, then with additional win over common opponents people began to draw illogical conclusion based on emotion. The thing about emotion is that it can be hurt by logics. I learned that the hard way, by losing a female friend by speaking objectively about Michael Jackson, lol.

Freddie and Arum is no fool. They know Manny will not win the election, he's still young, still has a lot of fights left in him, so there's no way they will allow Manny's stock to fall before maximizing his profit potential. THEY WILL NOT PUT HIM IN THE RING WITH MAYWEATHER until the benefit outweighs the cost. I know 40 mil seems like alot to pass up, but consider how much more Arum can make having him fight 5 more fights at his current stock value.

Clottey will accept the opportunity. Any fight with Pacquiao, their fight purse would be equivalent to their next 5 fights worth, even more. So for this one chance in a lifetime for 5 time the money for 1 time the hurt, Clottey will accept. And who knows, there is always that chance of a victory.

                • Has anyone noticed that everytime Arum announces a new opponent for Pacquiao the opponents Managers or trainers always say " So far we haven't received a phone call or a contract?" Same thing happened with Mrs. Paulie, did anyone really think that fight would happen? I still say that all this is just a planned tactic to build the publics interest for the fight even more. Arum is the biggest sleeze bag and he is capable of anything!

Pacquiao can agree to fight Clottey but it's not up to him to fight Mayweather.

What a joke Team Pac and Arum have made themselves.
The Pac/Money fight just might still be on according to ************. Here's a copy paste below.

                    THIS IS A C\P FROM ************
By Kirk Jackson: I have been informed from a few reliable sources, the much anticipated mega boxing show down between Pound for Pound Kings Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is still on.
It seems like there have been recent developments everyday, going into a range from drug testing disputes, to whatever else the two camps choose to disagree on, and deadlines to come to an agreement have been tossed everywhere.

The main problem with the recent disputes between the two camps, have been trying to come up with an agreement in regards to the random urine and blood testing for performance enhancing drugs. The camp of Floyd Mayweather wants a 14 day cut off, while the camp of Manny Pacquiao wants a longer extended period. From what I have been informed, both camps have scheduled yet another meeting to salvage this fight.

The meeting for the final arrangements are to talk place this Sunday, with the fight still being scheduled for the tentative date of March 13 of this year. It looks like both sides will compromise and agree to a cut off period of 14 – 20 days for the random drug testing.
This will leave them with an opportunity to get off quick press tour before their historic show down in March

                    • Clottey's an elite WW... but pac still takes it due to clottey's inactivity.. if cotto could break his shell then pac would have no problem.. clottey would be blocking at the wrong direction... although clottey poses a threat by being the quickest/most durable puncher pac has ever faced... am I right?
