Nah, Freddie Roach made sure that De La Hoya would have
to pay I think it was a 1Mil for every pound he came in over
147 if I'm not mistaken. That's why De La Hoya was so focused
on making weight and drained himself considerably.

Clottley is a pretty darn good fighter but elite he is not. You need to be objective and factor in that Clottley has already lost to Magarito & Cotto (post Magarito beating). A fight with the Mosely/Berto matchup would be more interesting, as well as the Mayweather/Pacquiao matchup.

what will be interesting is to see if this fight comes with strings attached in the way of a catch weight demand. The reason I bring this up is that Clottey has been known to approach the 170 mark between weigh in and the time of the fight. It will be interesting to see if Manny can deal with a very big, very strong and very sharp puncher in Clottey.

That was to make it a welterweight match, after the weigh in, ODLH could rehydrate to whatever he wanted or could make as far as I know (one punch claims otherwise). Keeping it real, that was the only way that fight could be marketed - Pac moving up and ODLH going down, would have been a joke to try to get Pac at 154 for the fight, as it was, most people had ODLH as a huge favorite at 147 and Pac moved up 2 classes while ODLH went down 1 (as I recall)

Roach again sayin Manny feels it weakens him for 3 days......so what is the poroblem with 14 days....im starting to think they are using Clottey as leverage to get mayweather to agree to a 24 day cut off....i don't think it will happen.....

True indeed! Pac was considered a big underdog going into that fight.

I not confirming nothing but there is a buzz going on that it looks like Pac is going to agree to a less than 24 day cut off date to fight Floyd. I don't know if it's going to be the 14 days that Floyd was shooting for but somethings happening. And it looks like they will announce something on Sunday.

Lets hope......Clottey is a bargaining chip...in my estimation Roach and Arum would not let Pac in there with Clottey. Its a huge risk vs return tradeoff.....i would back Clottey to beat Pac.....i didn't back Cotto but Clottey can adjust to quick fighters after a few rds......

Team mayweather want this fight......here is Roger saying PBF fighting Pac is what makes the most sense.....
