He could have i think.. i think he didn't quite have pushed it as much as he said tho. Didn't the ref come to Marquez corner and ask if he wanted to continue too? can't remeber which round (wasn't that late into the fight). Imo if Floyd stepped up the heat he could have got a stoppage specially if the Ref is all ready asking the other fighter if he wants it to be stopped.

Im a great fan of Floyd's but i was a little irritated later into the fight as he seemed to be not throwing combos when he had his opponent well and true beat.

One thing I noticed about that fight is, during the 12th round, near the end, Floyd presses Marquez and rocks him with a hook. They both tie up, and it is in front of HBO's commentator crew, at that moment Jim lampley yells out '15 second left in the fight'. Floyd heard this, looked over at Jim, backed off and ran out the clock. That right there spoke volumes of what happened or what could've happened in the ring that night. That '15 second left in the fight' was basically 'Floyd ease up off JMM, lets him finish'.

I completely agree. Its frustrating to watch. You just think he could go in some time and really give it to the other boxer. But instead he's overly cautious, sometimes gets in a good potshot, then starts all over with the walking back to the middle ring, and forcing the other boxer to come forward.

He'd be my favorite if he wasnt so overly safe all the time. Floyd fans can defend this by saying it keeps his zero, and the 'sweet science'. But the way floyd hypes his fights like if he's some kind of a young ferocious Tyson looking for blood makes it all a joke. It makes me hate him even more.

I think he can, Floyd has power, people seem to underate that because of his workrate.

I would say Floyds speed and accuracy have more to do with Floyds power than his actual force.
