    COULD HE, have done it?
    I don't think so.
Marquez has proven ability to get back up no matter what.
Floyd's hands are too brittle for the volume of bombs needed.

Who knows, with Floyd its always "could've", "would've", "should've"

Floyd was clearly looking to stop Marquez in rounds 10 and 11, but when he realized he couldn't do it with two punch combos, he let his foot off the gas.

It's not in him anymore to go all out for the KO. Compare the Floyd we saw in September 2009 with Floyd who destroyed Genaro Hernandez and Angel Manfredy in 1998. Same skills, but young Floyd was obviously much hungrier and eager to prove himself.

The more established Floyd is a lot more cautious, because he's put so much stock in his unbeaten record. He's not interested in taking the risk. Which is fine even if it doesn't get him new fans. His clinic against Marquez was exciting to watch for boxing fans who enjoy the sport being performed at the highest level.

If I can hit a guy twice without getting hit once I will take that all day untill they can stop it~ but no need to really push the issue.

Back then Floyd was Stopping people.. letting his hands go, defensive, but still had some killer instinct. Now... its just a chess match.. Whats the percentage of his knockouts in the beginng of his career, compared to now?
True but he did knock Hatton out in the fight before Marquez. So I can't say he "never" goes for the KO.

floyd could have stopped him but he didn't. he couldn't miss with that right hand and he still played it safe and that's why i'm not a fan of his.

yes. floyd has the physical ability thats just not his style. if he let his hands go more i think he could hav stopped JMM, judah, baldomir, and he could hav stopped hatton earlier. he's a defensive minded fighter
