Frank Warren is bitter against anybody who leaves his promotional company. I take his comments with a grain of salt when he talks about Calzaghe or Hatton.

Just like Bob Arum never has anything positive to say about Floyd Mayweather, who dropped him as his promoter, Frank Warren has nothing positive to say about Calzaghe. However, he has a point about the phantom injuries. He has dropped out of numerous fights with "alleged" injuries, including a fight against Glen Johnson at 175. Johnson replaced that fight with a fight against Roy Jones and knocked him out. Calzaghe wanted nothing to do with 175 or Glen Johnson after that knockout.

And the Prince. No coincidence, they all made bigger money when they left him.

He was injury prone. Calzaghe pulled out of the Lacy fight with injuries, even the Roy Jones fight was postponed, he still eventually fought them. He pulled out of a fight with Brian Magee with an injury ffs! No one says he ducked Brian Magee though. .

Sure they were. He won the title from Sonny Liston in America, and the Fight of the Century against Joe Frazier was also in America.

Once he had established himself as a superstar in the Mecca of boxing he was then able to carry big shows in Zaire and in Manilla.
