Comments Thread For: Joe Calzaghe Hit With "Phantom Injury" Claims By Warren

During a recent chat with thisislondon, promoter Frank Warren discussed his career and all of the past and present British names that he saw through the ranks. He called Joe Calzaghe one of the more selfish fighters that he ever promoted. Warren claims Calzaghe used to withdraw from fights with non-existent injuries. Warren promoted nearly all of Calzaghe's big fights. They had a bad falling out before the final fight of Calzaghe's career against Roy Jones Jr. in 2008. [Click Here To Read More]

yet Warren claims on Calzaghe's DVD that he fought through fights with severe hand problems.

no wonder he gets called Wank Warren.

Frank Warren takes all the credit for the Lacy win like he stepped in the ring himself.

This is not surprising. Warren is referring to the 3 withdraws from the Johnson fight. Joe always knew his people would still love him no matter what. He was content with being a local level (read europe) fighter.

To some people this is the model for the ideal fighter, a true atg

calzaghe miraculously healed his broken hands in 10 days. strange how calzaghe lost all his power cause of fake injuries. or maybe he never had any? what's more plausible?

I guess that's why he beat Lacy, Hopkin and Roy Jones....

when did they come to Europe to take their beating? in fact by my reckoning the first time Jones Jr. left the US he was knocked out.
