I think Cotto is much stronger and a bigger puncher than Mayweather, and the example given by TS doesn't make much sense.

Zab was hurt pretty much the whole fight. Cotto even made him take a knee at one point. Cotto has never been a one punch KO kinda guy but he physically imposes himself on his opponents until they wilt.

I think that fight was the most damaging of Judah's career. He literally had every ounce of fight beaten out of him that night.

Its very different kinds of power.

I have to SMH at anyone that says Floyd hits soft, because if I recall correctly, several of Floyds opponents have went on record as saying that he hits harder than they expected him too. That's because most of the time you aren't even braced for his punches. The way he times his punches, he makes them count. I think he stunned Oscar at 154. Though Oscar was over the hill a little bit, this is a guy who has fought Vargas, Trinidad, Mosley, and Hopkins. Not soft punchers by any means

Blow for Blow I think its Cotto, but Floyd is not feathered fisted like Paulie Malignaggi by any means.

i cant wait till mayweather knocks manny out...
he doesnt throw much because it will do him bad more than it will do him good! hes got brittle hands, hes careful not to use them so it will not break beyond repair else its goodbye boxing for him! he defends way too much, dance/run around too much, potshots too much doesnt engage in a fight to te end. wtf, thats the reason why hes boring. well for me anyways, i prefer 70% fight 30%(max) defense

yea thats right and hes the one injecting lidocaine/xylocaine in his hands to numb it from pain 2 hrs before a bout. his ring finger doesnt have "knuckle". try find picture of mannys and floyds hands/knuckles and see the difference

                    a minor mistake
If you haven't seen Cotto/Judah yourself and you need your cousin to tell you what happened, you should lurk and learn rather than post. There are some folks here that know quite a bit about boxing. Read what they say and watch the fights they talk about. No offense intended, but seriously...

Cotto is a hard puncher. He's not a one-punch-k.o. artist like Tyson, Hearns, or G. Foreman, but he can k.o. you with a good clean shot specially to the body.

Floyd on the other hand is not a hard puncher but a skilled fighter. If you watch his fights when he was younger you would get tremendously frustated if you expect him to knock down his opponents with his barrage of punches - yes he used to punch a lot. Look at his fights at featherweight. You'll see him throwing so many good clean shots: right overheads, right uppercuts, left hooks, etc... Those punches were really crisp, quick, clean, and almost undetectable. But you'll still his opponents standing in front of him as if not hurt at all.

If you say Floyd is a harder puncher than Cotto, well it's like you're saying Cotto hits really really soft.
