Floyd has more power than Cotto

Depends what you mean by power. Cotto is most certainly the physically stronger man. I just cannot picture Floyd being able to lift more weights than strong stocky Cotto or beat him in a tug of war. Cotto has more power but would be easily out pointed in a fight by Floyd regardless of the probability that Cotto is the more powerful man.

theres no way around it ,to be considered the best,you have to fight the best a fat marquez,baldomir,etc,etc,no way good enough resemey to be in contention,the problem is floyd has underesemated what it take!and anything cud happen in any fight especially in boxing where a fighter cud get caught and put away,floyd knows and has shown that he knows who not to fight and lets be real at the welter weight who has he knocked out????????

Point out which of those guys Mayweather would actually fight, and let's see how much Mayweather makes Manny blink, Manny ended up bruised against Cotto, Cotto even hurt Pacquiao's right eardrum, so ask Pacquiao if he has any power, he swelled up Mosley's right cheek, and has been the only one to knock down Clottey to my knowledge.

And, although Tony beat him, I'm still convinced Cotto took some of the fight out of Margarito. Cotto landed some hellacious shots on Tony and I don't think he was the same fighter after that fight. It's part of the reason I believe he lost to Shane.

Well to be Honest. Nope. Marquez was getting caught and buckled by Juan Diaz at 135. And and 144, he is bloated and slower. Cotto would be able to just walk him down, or outbox him. But Marquez has heart so i wouldn't be suprised if he made it the whole 12. But he would be beaten badly.

Cotto is just too big at WW which is his natural weight and JMM did not carry his speed and power at 144 but he is a great counter puncher who may find a way to win. He was forced to attack in his last fight which put his counter punching ability into waste, against cotto it maybe a different story.

The speed would factor in tho and he wouldn't be fast enough to avoid Cotto's shots IMO. If he gets caught like he did against Diaz then he wouldn't win.
