Yeah, Williams isn't so too different when you compare him with Margarito. He is very one dimensional and his defense is weak. Mosley is stylistically far from Martinez, but he should certainly have a chance against Williams at 147.

Williams is too tall..fast....and his jab is something that Mosley wouldnt get around.

Margarito is slow...with no speed or jab to speak of.

If Mosley has the condition I think he wins. Mosley just like Quintana have similar physique . Mosley has the reach and Mosley will clinch a lot avoiding Paul Williams biggest advantage which is his arm length. Mosley must fight from the inside or else he will receive too much punishment. And the way Paul Williams been fighting thats not hard to acomplish.

the thing ppl seem to be forgetting is williams is getting better each fight and shane is getting older each fight. if they fight tommorow id say mosley, but williams im sure is getting better each day in the gym. his trainer is no fool, he knows mosley struggles to get past a good jab. they work on that, come with the right gameplan using that freakish reach williams has. add the size and youth to that and id say williams beats him.

Williams used his jab minimally against Martinez. He wants to fight too much. Mosley would probably do a lot of clinching in the fight as well to take away Williams height, not to mention good body work.

I know Martinez is a tough cookie, but I really didn't see any improvement in Paul Williams in that fight. I think we may have a case of where he has peaked. It seemed like he has improved since the Quintana fight and once he fought Martinez his ability has hit a wall. Having to adjust your training camp for a different type of fighter can throw you off. But Williams gets overrated by a lot of people on here. I still slightly favor him to beat Pavlik. But I think that Mosley has a bad style for him. Mosley is slicker than people give him credit for even though he's no Bernard Hopkins.

Huh?? Williams threw 348 Jabs against Martinez.

                Mosley gets battered.

                  BINGO...................

It happened before the first Q fight..where he was preparing for Cintron and it happened again before Martinez when Paul was preparing for Pavlik.

Mosley never dodged a right hand in his life..struggles with tall guys who jab...OUT HIS OWN MOUTH.

Williams is Mosleys worst nightmare all rolled into one.

Mosley is a WHOLE lot easier to hit then Martinez....Williams been calling Mosley out for 2 years now.

"Ill fight anyone but him...our styles dont match up well"

Bingo. Martinez and Quintana are slick southpaws, but they have no body punching ability to speak of. Shane Mosley has that in abundance and Williams is vulnerable for that as we saw against Margarito. And it's not like Mosley won't ever get inside because Williams doesn't fight tall like a Vernon Forrest and he doesn't keep his elbows tucked in like Winky Wright does. People need to analyze the styles of these fighters before they say that Mosley gets totally battered.

Another thing about Quintana and Martinez too, is they are pot shot type fighters who don't really punch in combinations. Mosley is a superb combination puncher at least when he puts his mind to it.

If course the jab is going to be thrown in a 12 round fight. To clarify, I didn't see him use the jab like a tall fighter should. Williams does have a pretty good jab when he uses it, especially because his reach is ridiculous.

Don't get me wrong with all the arguing against Williams. I like him a lot because he fights for the fans.
