    Journeymen fighters

Journeymen fighters tend to be better than average but not what you describe as championship material. What do you think?

I think champions can definitely become journeymen, but not when they are champions, only when they become journeymen after they are champions.

Some journeymen don't ever become champions though. This usually means they don't have what it takes to become champions but they can still be good journeymen.

Excellent point. Some journeymen have their fights televised. But usually hey don't.

you guys are spot on. some journeymen have become champions, but it's unusual because a journeyman is usually someone who doesn't make it to the top. a journeyman - better than a can, but not that good either.

Journeymen often retire with more than a couple of losses.

Journeymen are sometimes the best to watch too.
I think sometimes Journeymen have a shot and can be capable of winning a title. Like Mtagwa would you consider him a journeymen with 12 or 13 losses?

So you do like boxing? Well in what way do you mean better? put on better fights generally? that I do agree with. Most of the espn cards > HBO and Showtime cards

I mean that they are better than the average fighter, but that they are not in the top levels of the sport.

mayweather. it's definitely up for debate of course. the guy became a nobody after lightweight.

only thing that keeps him in the spotlight is his big mouth. think about it.
