When you consider the severity of the slide and the possible performance enhancement use.. I think it puts a real bad stain on his career. I wouldn't be surprised if he averages on the latter end of a top 50 when all the historians get their digs in.
Bert Sugar has him at number 88. I can't really critique Sugars list because alot of the boxers on it I am not familiar with.

I said average. I think Roy would median out in a top 50 by all historians.

Bert Sugar is 1 (and albeit the most famous) historian. I'm not going to rip his opinion, but look at the glaring near 40 place difference in position Roy has from Whitaker given his accolades as a titlist. Look at Floyd Jr.'s position to Ray Leonard's. I'm sure I could keep going, but I noticed those right away. I just think Roy will be middle of the pack in the end, if you got lists from all those qualified who cover the history of the sport.

Man, Mike Tyson is at 100. Floyd Jr. is at 12 and Ray Leonard at 25. Look at where Foreman and Frazier are placed and some of the names in front of them. Chris Byrd is ahead of Holyfield and Larry Holmes!

                      Roy cannot be 88.
If roy is 88 Pac is 200, because Pac has never beaten People at the level of Toney or Hopkins, Pac has never been as dominant as Roy, Pac has been beat in his prime...
