He barely sc****s into the top 50 but he does it based on his HW run.

All the style in the world doesn't beef up a resume that not as good as at least 40 other people.

He's was caught using steroids in 2000 and since then he's been stopped three times and lost five - he should have quit while he was on top. And he avoided fighting the underrated Dariusz M. who said he was willing to come to the US and fight Jones. And he should have given the improved version of Hopkins a rematch in the late 90s or early 00s.
It is what it is. He fought many no hopers, however he has many very very good wins, and his ability to move up weight classes and dominate was a thing to behold. He is shot now, and I do not look into his losses to Tarver, Johnson, Calzaghe, and especially Green since without his super natural speed and reflexes he doesn't have the chin or defense to fall back on.

I would say to 30, because I feel its not always a resume game.
He has skill and athleticism we may never see again.
Is he resume weak? no, is his resume strong? no, its a good resume, but not great.
We have to remember he beat p4p number 2 toney, and a Hopkins who went undefeated for 20 fights after the Jones loss, and is still currently the only man to beat Hopkins without any dispute.
The Ruiz win is history, and it really is. Yes, Ruiz is not a strong heavy, but he took it to Holy.

Feel Roy gets undeserved hate, like Calz, sometimes.

Given the Historic level of his career: Titles at MW, SMW, LHW, and HW, Victories over in-their-prime ATGs Hopkins and Toney, and fighter of the Decade honors(A decade with DLH,Pernell,Tito,Hops,Tony,Holy,Lewis,Tostya,JCC) Its hard not to say top 30 or 40.

I think he gets underrated these days, his skills were unreal and his resume is not bad at all. He moved through weightclasses, beat Toney and Hopkins and completley dominated good fighters in a way that nobody else could.

If he had retired after the Ruiz fight or even after the first Tarver fight, giving the weight draining as the reason for his poor performance people would be saying hes top 10.

I've never done a definitive list. My guess would be 26-50.
