Don't get you into the top 50 seriously..

What are the criteria for all time great status though?
I like to see fighters dig deep and come back from adversary in fights, where they were losing and then coming back to win fights..
For me , that's a sign of a great boxer.
Jones was never in that position.

I recently found out he was on steroids, so hes a lot lower on my list today than previously.

I dont listen to much rap but I thought his album was pretty good.

            lmao.
But on a serious note I would put him and Bhop somewhere in the 90-100 range. Bert sugar has him at position 88 and Hopkins at position 91.

He's was caught using steroids in 2000 and since then he's been stopped three times and lost five - he should have quit while he was on top. And he avoided fighting the underrated Dariusz M. who said he was willing to come to the US and fight Jones. And he should have given the improved version of Hopkins a rematch in the late 90s or early 00s.
But you put Calzaghe as Top 25, so be real now.

How can you not have him top 50, absolutely dominated the divisions middle/lightweight. Yes, many will point to fights that could have been made. There will not be anyone for another lifetime at least that was as spectacular as him in his prime. Toney weight-drained?! ...Yet undefeated at that division. The roids scenario is just an off-shot of the pacquiao scandal. There's been no blatant proof, except one fight where both failed the tests yet retook them...
There's so many little factoids as well that point out his brilliance, for instance he was the only one to stop clinton woods (albeit not that great a fighter) Middleweight to heavyweight... Nobody could go the distance with him for a decade, went a round without being hit once... How can you not appreciate that, John Ruiz wasn't the strongest at the time but Roy offered to fight either Lewis or Tyson but they were caught up in their own confrontation. He just never had that one true test because he was too good for his own good.

                Roy past Ruiz... awful.

Career? I dont know. Hes had a great career but no career defining wins really. And he has really taken a hit by keeping fighting these last 5+ years.
so beating James toney and Bernard Hopkins easily in there primes are not defining victory's?

He's ahead of Toney, Hopkins and Calzaghe in the ATG ranks, i know that much.

If he retires after Tarver 1 he'd be considered the GOAT skill wise. Wins over 2 ATG fighters, good B+ wins, and winning belts going from MW to HW. 50 fights. Virtually no losses.

When you consider the severity of the slide and the possible performance enhancement use.. I think it puts a real bad stain on his career. I wouldn't be surprised if he averages on the latter end of a top 50 when all the historians get their digs in.
