Alex rodriguez went on 60 minutes and lied without a blink in front millions. Roger Clemens lied in front of Congress and tried to use a lawsuit like Pac is now to scare people away. Shane Mosley refused to admit that he was on peds until his name was brought up in documents to Congress. Now i'm not convicting Pac and blatantly calling him a ped user but he sure is making difficult to vouch for him when he can take a simple test while getting paid $40+ million and get to kick ass in the process to prove otherwise.

Pac is an idiot. He is digging his own grave. After this whole mess people are gonna start saying if it looks like a duck and acts like hulk then its Pacroid lol.
lol yea Im a PBF fan but I call him out wen he do dumb stuff, same with any boxer. But Pac is the the hold up I luv how they cant say yea Pacroid is holding up the fight but find all these crazy ways to put it on PBF kills me. Wen they were first talking about the fight I said if PBF turn down a 50-50 split F*k em cuz I wud see that as ducking but he agreed to all thier stuff. I'm not buy nemore Pac PPVs if he fight Yuri and dont take ne test. Yuri is Top rank so Arum will be like look no test and Yuri I'll toss u a coulpe extra $$$. This is Bob and Pac at thier finest.

    • I was discussing with one of my pals today this whole Steroid thing that has been going on with this fight. My friend then said "no way, Freddie Roach would never have anything to do with roids or anybody taking them" but what alot of ppl seem to forget is that Roach trained James Toney for John Ruiz fight & Toney tested positive for the anabolic steroid stanozolol after the fight. I'm not making any accusations about Pacquiao but all I'm saying is this wouldn't be something new to Freddie Roach.

This is a mega fight and its needs to be milked out and promoted to its fullest. Two months is not enough to get a good promotional tour and all that other stuff out of the way while fitting in training. Expect the fight later in 2010 with the fans picking their heel, Slanderous Mayweather or Possible Pacroid. This is stage one in their(GBP/Top Rank) master plan.
Completely agree. They knew it would make millions from the get go. Add some drama, and outrage and you double it. All the while, playing us, the fans as the fools.

        • I don’t think we should blame it on Floyd.. PBF agreed to Pacman’s demand and wants the fight.. The ball is on Manny’s court and he is declining because of he is scared..

                • Wow! The IQ's around here have certainly dropped since the "Smear Campaign" by Team Mayweather and Associates took off in full swing. I'm seeing so many misguided posters making ridiculously ignorant posts. Hmmm... Hahaha...

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is definitely one of the best boxers of our time. You can't take anything away from the things he has accomplished thus far in his career.

Unfortunately, unless he decides to change his ways, he will also go down as one of the most talented fighters who didn't give fight fans the fights that the want and would've highlighted his career.

Think about it. When Floyd Mayweather Jr. retires, what will the world remember him for? He was a great defensive boxer. He was a technician. In terms of defining fights though, what will people associate with him? I guess you can say Corrales, but is that Hall of Fame type stuff?

Who can forget Muhammad Ali's classic fights with George Foreman and Joe Frazier? How about Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera's trilogy? Hagler-Hearns, Duran-Leonard, Hagler-Leonard, Pacquiao-Marquez, Pacquiao-Morales, Pacquiao-Cotto, Mosley-Margarito, Vasquez-Marquez... And the list goes on.

Mayweather has none of that. And now with an opportunity of lacing it up against the sport's biggest star in Manny Pacquiao, instead of just signing on the dotted like and doing the fight, he has done what he has been doing every time he refuses to fight the biggest challenge around him that the world wants to see- and that is to work his mouth instead of his fists. Instead of Mayweather-Pacquiao, he aims to give you Mayweather-Hatton- again! Only this time around, he will be facing Ricky Hatton's #33 ranked welterweight brother Matthew. So instead of fighting the #1 ranked guy, he goes down the list and wants to fight #33. I wonder if "in the spirit of fairness" Money would have Matthew go through an Olympic-style drug testing too.

This will be his lasting legacy. One of the most talented boxers, who chose to conduct his fiercest battle with his mouth, instead of his fists. He'd rather argue and talk about his greatness, than let his hands do the talking in the ring against the best.

What is an undefeated record if he never really tested himself against Cotto, Pacquiao, Margarito, Mosley, Williams and all the big names that were available to him throughout his career? He's like the 2007-08 New England Patriots who went undefeated the whole season but refuses to play in the Superbowl and insist he is the greatest because he has yet to suffer a loss. What is an undefeated record compared to being a true champion? Even the Charlotte Bobcats can go 40-0 if all they had to play are D-League teams.

Get your facts straight bro. Manny is suing for slander and defamation of character not because of the Olympic blood test that Floyd demanded. Second, Manny fighting in March instead of May with less rest is advantage for Floyd. The $10 million fine is ridiculous and unfair, ****** Floyd shouldn't have agreed to that. Finally, the 8. oz gloves makes perfect sense and there's no reason why 10. oz should be used IMO especially for Manny.
