Human growth hormone (HGH) has found use as a performance-enhancing drug for athletes, often used in tandem with anabolic steroids. As a result, a need has arisen for a test to detect HGH use.

Background
1. Human growth hormone causes the liver to produce insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), which promotes growth of the bones, organs and muscles.
Blood Test
2. In 2004, one of the first major HGH tests debuted at the Athens, Greece Summer Olympic Games in the form of a blood test.
Effectiveness of Blood Test
3. Positive tests have not surfaced because athletes often take the drug during the off-season and the blood test can only detect HGH between 24 and 48 hours after use. Furthermore, many organizations, like Major League Baseball, do not allow blood testing for their players.
Urine Test
4. In 2008, USA Today reported that a collaboration between American and Italian scientists produced a test that detects HGH use via urine samples.
Effectiveness of Urine Test
5. According to USA Today, the urine test can detect HGH two weeks after use. This is because the test involves a particle that traps HGH molecules and amplifies their presence so the hormone can be identified.



If My MIND is still with me,,,, the Urine test is BETTER than the Blood test according to this Site.

If Manny had HGH in his body at the time of the fight then you will see it in the BLOOD TEST immediately after the fight.

All are hanging on to see if somebody will compromise.

Defamation, libel, & slander against celebrities is a lot more complicated than defamation against a regular joe. The privacy laws are different. Manny Pacquiao's case will never stick in court, not only does he have to prove that the accusations were false but he also has to prove that the accuser KNEW THAT HIS ACCUSATIONS WERE FALSE...If he came to my firm with this case I would send him right back out of my office. He's only using the lawsuit as a threat to try to keep the Mayweather camp quiet, as far as the steroid allegations. I'm sure the Mayweather camp knows and understands this, and the fact that Manny Pacquiao has no argument in court. And that is why they're still on going with the steroid accusations.

How many of you has been damaged by rumors and innuendos? I know I have. I am a hard working man who saved my money and moved to an influential neighborhood. When my twin boys got their license at 16 1/2 I let them drive my old car. When they reached 17 years old, I took money out from my retirement and bought them both brand new camaros. That is when rumors started flying in their school and community. Somebody started a rumor in school that my boys and parents were dealing drugs and that is how they got their cars. The rumors spread like wildfire. My boys were even questioned by the principal and staff about it. I had police come over my house about reports that I was dealing drugs. I don't drink alchohol and much less take drugs but yet I am getting questioned. I worked so hard for what I earned but yet I was being looked upon as a criminal. Rumors and innuendos are no joke. All of you who haven't gone through it don't understand ramfications of simple "opinion".

I empathize with your ordeal bro. Let me ask you ask you a question, though. When all of this happened, did your boys refuse to answer any of the principal's questions? Did your boys instead present their own list of questions and say that they will only answer those questions and only during certain days of the week? Did you refuse to speak with the cops or even let them near your property? Did you hire a top lawyer and threaten to sue the principal, the school district, the chief of police, and everyone else who may stated his/her "opinion"? Or........

Did you simply welcome any and every investigation or probe because you knew damn well you had nothing to hide and all of your earnings were a result of your hard, legal work?

I still maintain that the Mayweather's have a sinister plan to Publicly trash the Pacman through their de****able "Smear Campaign." It's apparent that these people have absolutely no shame in creating unfounded allegations of steroid use by one of the Greatest fighters of all time.

It's my firm opinion that both Father and son are in great despair and completely jealous over the Pacman's successful rise to Fame, Glory and Honor in the sport of Boxing.

The upstaging of Floyd Jr. by Manny Pacquiao has fueled the Mayweather's desire for vengeance and it's apparent that they
are willing to "Take Down" the Fighting Pride of the Philippines by any crooked means whatsoever.

What a shame it is to know that people of such low-character are among the upper echelon of this sport. The Mayweather's complete disregard for honor and respect has left them with a tarnished image in the eyes of fans everywhere. As boxing fans, we deserve better than this. I wonder what Lady "Fan" would have to say if they found Pacquiao had used PEDs? I would also like to know "Pac-fans" opinion about keeping random drug testing in boxing-not just for this fight.....
It would also be funny if the Mayweathers actually had a source for this speculation (such as Moorer who worked with Pacquiao before)...as the Pac-fans say "you don't know what happens behind the scenes-lol

If I hear anyone refer to Pacquiao as a G.O.A.T. again,im going to spew! Ray Robinson and Ali were greatest of all time and fought genuine threats of their era-while their opponents were in their primes,Manny has fought big names with big disadvantages in his defining bouts...
