as for technology: Japan > US --- we can all agree with that, right?
Japan and Philippines are neighbor countries. which means its alot quicker to distribute tech between countries.. example: cell phones that are brand spankin new in US is about a year and a half old in asia.

That still proves what? NOTHING! All of europe gets phones and gadets before the US...it doesn't mean that they are more advanced in anything, just that they get something sooner. Japan is more advanced than the US in certain aspects, but they are on opposite sides of the world. Still they are 1 and 2. Going by what your saying every country that is closer to Japan should be more advanced than the US or any other country that is farther away than Japan.

we use labcorp and Quest Diagnostics in our business. the fact is i know more about drug testing than any of you guys here because thats what i do for a living. but my knowlegde will only get **** on by *****s who dont know **** about it.

For a guy who says he knows so much....

The US is the # 1 spender of PRIMARY RESEARCH in the WORLD. This includes new technologies in electronics, medicine, defense, military etc etc.

The key word is primary, our research is not interested in APPLICATIONS, which is where the rest of the world picks up, especially Japan and Korea. Sometimes they develop the technologies even more, but the guys who came up with it are usually in some labs in the US and Europe.

Japan and other Asian countries are culturally early adopters for technological gadgets etc, and it is well known they are the most wired countries (especially Korea), but it doesn't mean they discovered or invented the original technologies in the first place.

Damn, any major engineering school would cover this....
