Like Marquez at 142, Trinidad and De La Hoya @ 160+, etc. They all look heavier and chubbier period. This is the natural order of things for athletes that don't predominantly train to gain muscle mass, which boxers don't. You go up significantly in weight from the weight at which you looked lean, and you stop looking very lean. This is actually quiet simple.
Unless....you happened to grow up not just in a third world country, but dirt ****in poor in said country, with substandard nutrition, then through your success you are eventually able to afford proper nutrition and training in the middle part of your career.

-Yet JMM had on ***** street several times

      It raises questions.

      Like Paulie said:

If someone was accsuing me of this ****..I would take the tests so I could get in the ring then whoop their ass, take my 40 million and smile knowing I prove the doubters wrong and I just proved Im better then Mayweather.

But no he sued, and wants to fight Paulie when Bradley called Pac out as well.

      Interesting.

-muscles? ofcourse he'll look bigger and more muscular when hes in a higher weight class. so what are you talking about?

-increased speed? really? i don think he got slower either but he did NOT get faster. he's fighting slower fighters in the higher weight class, floyd comparably as fast as pac. so what are you talking about?

-increased power? he's always been a knock out artist, and if he can knock guys out easily when he was cutting a lot of weight ofcourse he'll have power when he's fighting in his walking weight, and im pretty sure ODLH and diaz said pac didnt hard.. and its not like he was iron mike-ing everyone when he moved up.. so what are you talking about?

-Punch Resistance (He ate Cottos shots like Candy)? you mean Cotto's
straight jabs and little uppercuts? lol! he never got manny clean on the chin, or the body so what are you talking about?

-Yet JMM had on ***** street several times?
you mean that ONE time when he got manny off guard when manny was reseting and was totally relaxed? and still didnt go down?? and the other clean brutal shots to the face where manny takes them and you can see his eyes still focused on marquez?? manny always had a chin (sans his 2 early fluke KOs when he was a weight drained teenager) so what are you talking about?

-The manner in which hes beating bigger fighters? pac beat Diaz, DLH, Hatton and Cotto because of all of the above (strength, speed, a good chin) plus great footwork, greatly improved boxing skills and roach's coaching and gameplan so what are you talking about?

-The time frame hes done it in? see "manny's fight night weights"

... and then again there's always the possibility that pac is one of the greatest boxers ever...

First, let's get this out of the way: George St. Pierre walks around at 185, not 200. See link http://www.mmanews.com/ufc/Transcrip...Interview.html.
Okay, that's an old link, and post-groin injury GSP walks around 195 in between fights. That's a year round training, in shape GSP. You don't have to be out of shape to be above your fighting weight.

From Ed Soares directly: During his recent groin injury, St.Pierre has bulked up 10 pounds from his walk around weight of 185 pounds to 195 pounds.

Now, Pacquiao at 144 is already in state of dehydration. We know this because for the Cotto fight he weighed, fight night, 149-150. And we all know that a fully hydrated individual does not put on 5-6 pounds with just food.
You can't just assume someone is dehydrated by being 4-5 pounds lighter than normal. Especially not just by looking at them.

Let's also start by noting that 5-6% body fat is about as good as it is going to get for a natural man. This is also a body fat level for which one must train and diet. There is no such thing as being born with genetics that allow you to stay at 6% body fat all the time. We also know that the closer you get to this number, the more difficult it becomes to achieve more body fat loss. You seem well versed in biology and physiology, so I don't have to tell you that.

Pacquiao weighs naturally 150 pounds at 8% (12 pounds of total fat) body fat. He starts to diet and train to make 129. In the weeks approaching the fight, he trains and diets hard to lose 5 pounds of fat; unfortunately, he loses 3 pounds of muscle in the meantime (muscle catabolism -wasting, it sucks, but it happens). He now weighs 142 with 5% body fat, extremely ripped and hard. He has already lost significant amount of water, but he's not done, he's going to lose an additional 13 pounds of water (9% of total bodyweight at this point) the last week before the fight. He does so successfully, but not before stopping by the hospital....

Come on! Not even you believe that is possible.

The trip down from 140 is not that difficult and is what most people would expect. Pacquiao out of shape at 150, loses 10-12 pounds of fat, water, and some muscle, and then loses the additional water weight to make 130, looking rock solid. It is a journey of 20 total pounds, but starting from 150 and out of shape. It makes sense. So...where did those extra 10 pounds of lean mass come from? That is what has everybody in a frenzy my friend.
You are underestimating the amount of water weight one can lose. 65% of our total weight is water.

I like Pacquiao but the argument is he could be using PED's. PED are Performance Enhancing Drugs. Not necessarily steroids; which mainly increase muscle. EPO (erythropoietin), for instance, is going to increase an athletes red blood cell count, giving him a gigantic increase in endurance.

You can't look at weights to prove if an athlete is on a PED- otherwise testing for it, because of symptoms such as a rapid muscle gain, would be much easier. The fact is, many PED's can be used and metabolized by the body, in and out- within a matter of days or even hours. This comes from credible doping sources in no relation to this incident.

There's no way for us to know if an accused athlete- Lebron James to Floyd Mayweather- is doping unless he takes random blood tests. That is why the two aforementioned athletes understand they must, to be at the top of a physical field in which they stand to make millions, prove themselves clean.
its because the only reason floyd sr started accusing pac of cheating is cuz he moved up in WEIGHT and was still a beast if not even better... but when u analize his fight night weights for his past fights, it actually makes perfect sense.

            2009 | 144 | Cotto | Ring Weight: 149 | Rehydration: 5 lbs

144-149 = 5 lbs difference in three years.

The real difference is nowadays he isn't cutting so much weight. For the second Marquez fight, for example, Pacquiao would be cutting around 20 pounds (possibly more) from his walk-around weight. Less starvation appears to make Pacquiao a much better fighter. Is this abnormal? Personally, I don't think it's any cause for concern.
I think his shoes are a little heavier than his old pair!

Whatever, he clearly looks different. He should take your little chart and take it to the blood testing site.

              Get tested Manny.

              Do it.

Yes, we should persecute anyone who looks different as time passes on.

I was born in 1983 but I still look like a 5 year old.

Exactly, sometimes all it takes is a set of eyes. A picture is worth a thousand words and the Pacman has some "secrets".
