Filipinos are generally superstitious that almost everything you're doing has negative or positive vibe. Just look at his mother, if you've watch some local news you'll know. Efren Bata Reyes, another pool HoF, doesn't take a bath during competition especially if it's championship already. They worry that breaking that belief might cause them bad luck.

It might sound outrageous especially if you've grown up in a western country but if you can only live here or even do a research you'll know how superstitious Filipinos are. I think it's a negative trait that was instill by the Spaniards to the Filipinos during their 300 years colonization to keep the people from revolting.

The other reason would probably be Mayweather camp is just downright being disrespectful. Manny's the champion and he's being harass, and to make matters worst media ride with it.

Pac and Freddie are clearly in the middle of a psywar with the Mayweather camp. But I think there is another side to this issue that has not been fully explored. I have seen video interviews of Pac agreeing to the blood testing, just not days before the fight. Roach has also been quoted to say that he will not agree to Pac being tested on fight week. Clearly, then, there is a willingness on the part of Pac and his trainer to go through the blood tests, even though they are asking for certain date and time limitations.

Arum, on the other hand, has been insistent on no testing beyond that mandated by the state athletic commission. And based on Pac's recent statements, it appears that Bob has won out.

It is no secret that the suits are in the middle of a war even bigger than that of the fighters. A small part of it may involve Pac's contract, but it is also about which side will hold sway over boxing, GBP or Top Rank.

if thats true then like what im saying in the other threads arum was springing his own trap for GBP to have the opportunity of prying off the hands of GBP out of the pocket of manny. an opportunity to void the co promotional agreement with GBP citing that the latter was not protecting the interest of client pacman instead backstabbing him so to speak. brilliant. GBP and the mayweathers are now left scratching their heads and kicking dirt, what with the recent panic deleting evidences attacking the pacman, thats one sign that they themselves accepts that they committed blunder.

So it's basically an ego thing. Manny will not allow himself to be bullied into random drug testing, but prefers walking away from guaranteed millions and is willing to risk having his name mentioned along with the possible use of PED's.

Makes no sense, but so be it.
