This is a step down for Manny, he has better options than Paulie

yes, Manny get's this far and just ends up losing to a guy like Malignaggi.

Paulie isn't in Manny's class and will probably get stopped in this fight happen. Either way i think they just want it as a tuneup for Mayweather and his running style.

As big a fan of Pacquiao as i am, I would not pay to see this one-sided beat down. Pacquiao should fight Bradley or the winner of Mosley-Berto. There is nothing to gain by fighting Paulie. I hope to god there not serious about making this fight.

there are so many better fighters that pacquiao could face at 140 and 147.

All malignaggi brings is a big fat mouth!

Paulie has decent footwork, no pop in his punch, but he can jab from round one to twelve. We saw how Pacquiao was getting frustrated chasing Cotto around the ring when Cotto wouldn't even throw a meaningful punch. Paulie will do the same thing except throw jabs the whole time and maybe an occasional straight right. Of course, Malignaggi cannot counter-punch like PBF, nor pivot and use similar upper body movement, and he certainly doesn't have the pop or velocity that Mayweather has on his punches, but Malignaggi possesses a boxer mentality.

Pacquiao may actually want this sort of fight to go the full twelve just to lure PBF into fighting him. The only problem is since he's made himself look invincible in his last three fights and to have bad performance and win or lose against Malignaggi would only supply more evidence that he just might have been on PED's at one point.
Don't kid yourself, Malignaggi looked like crap against Diaz in both fights. HOw the hell is Pacquiao going to look bad or lose?

Please don't let this fight happen, Pac already beat Hatton and Cotto the two guys that beat Paulie up and broke his face.

If he fights at Jr. Welter it should be Bradley if he fights a Welter it should be Mosley/Mayweather. No exceptions, this is coming from a Pacquiao fan.

"I am willing to submit to a blood test ten times a day before the fight..."

Wow! Who knew that Malignaggi would have more balls than Manny Pacquiao?
